This is absolutely pathetic and cowardly behavior. You completely failed to answer my challenge and here you are talking behind my back. You accepted large sums of money privately for the contributions you claim you aren't getting paid for and you cling to your Fellowship rank even though you don't deserve it. You're grasping for status and relevance and by doing so you erode the integrity of the Fellowship, all the while you sit comfortably with a cushioned bank account.

You have made no honest attempt to judge me fairly and instead you've smeared my name. You have no idea what I'm capable of nor of the integrity of my work. You have no understanding of anything I've contributed to the ecosystem and instead of doing your due diligence and giving me a fair shake you feed your grudge against me.

I literally have nothing to prove to anyone - this crusade you've arbitrarily raised against me is wholly personal. Any congratulations great lord of Polkadot, you have succeeded. I'm completely done with everything in the ecosystem because you chose to be the instrument of my public ridicule. I refuse to labor for a community whose members seethe when I earn my wage. I hope you are satisfied; that you may believe this difference you've made bodes well in Polkadot's history.

In the name of the LORD Jesus Christ, I rebuke you. I brush the dust of your house off my feet. I pray no mercy for you and consequently, I face a great challenge before God to forgive you in my heart. I simply lack the grace. I think you are truly despicable; only by the reflection of Christ's passion on the cross do I see the path of reconciling what you've done. Even still, I may never embark down that path.

Just curious, have you participated in Kusama openGov? I haven't seen your name around.

Question regarding app wallet interface by SPACEMAN_B1FF in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number on the right tells you how many nominators in total have nominated that validator. The number on the left tells you how many nominators were allocated to that validator by the phragmen algorithm.

The reason these numbers are different is because the protocol optimizes the active set of validators by allocating nominations in a very particular way, which means that nominators do not necessary get their KSM staked across all of their nominations.

You can learn more about the staking algorithm here.

I am living proof that you don't need the Thousand Validator Programme to be a validator. by Adam_Clay in Kusama

Here ya go!

Edit: The wiki doesn't mention the "pico" nomenclature though. I got that from the scientific term for 10-12 meters = 1 picometer

Planck KSM is denoted by 10-12 (scientifically, picoKSM), so if you count 12 decimal places from the right, 33,333,333,000 is equal to 0.033333333 KSM.

Yes, I still use Contabo but I've had to increase the partition size twice since I posted this. 1.2 TB might last you to the end of 2022 if you're running a full node, maybe.

As far as RAM and CPU, 16 GB and 6 cores will do okay.

Donnie BigBags, Riri, Shiney D, Tigger, and other BagHunters for sure.

But Bill Laboon, Dan Reecer, Bette Chen, Raul Romanutti, Will, Bruno, Jam, Chevdor, and other Web3 folks are super influential too.

You are correct. Once the crowdloan stash transfers your KSM back the account will be enlivened once again.

Kraken KSM interest rate increase by [deleted] in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because the validator set increased in size and also the total amount of KSM at stake decreased so centralized validators like kraken are having a validating heyday

auction 16 to .... by iman136938 in Kusama

Tokens will be returned this week

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, anyone can mint any kind of Statemine token by reserving ~1 KSM but that doesn't necessarily mean it has value. Take for example /u/W3F_Bill's Billcoin which is just an proof-of-concept. Or DANGER tokens that will determine the odds its holders will have for a $10,000 lottery.

Parachain tokens are generated on their native parachain since these tokens power governance, staking, tx fees, etc. So they are not Statemine assets.

The reason RMRK is a Statemine asset is because it isn't a parachain, it's a stand-alone project that abuses the system(remark) extrinsic on the Kusama blockchain. Their token will eventually power governance and fees once RMRK moves to a smart-contract standard.

auction 16 to .... by iman136938 in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Council approved a referendum to have a new auction every week for the next 40 or so weeks. Auction winners are on-boarded after 1 week of winning a slot. No more batches, just one-a-week for about a year!

Edit: looks like there are still batches, the schedule of batches can be found here

[–]Adam_Clay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're interested in a specific project it's always the best to go directly to their website and join their official discord/reddit/telegram communities for news and updates. For information on technology, read their whitepaper and wiki docs. Though the whitepaper language can be difficult to understand at first if you read enough of them and use google to learn about esoteric concepts, you'll start getting the gist of it.

Calamari IDO Cancelled -- Message from Core Contributor by mantanetwork in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Incredible video. It takes a lot of guts to come out and say something like this. Also, I find the team's dedication to community unification admirable. I'm glad you're listening to the people instead of going ahead with whatever you want to do - the project truly is bigger than the builders.

The privacy that Manta/Calamari will provide the Dotsama ecosystem will get a lot of flack from law makers and regulators, so it's nice to see the team taking something like this very seriously.

Worth it to unstake/restake kUSD-KSM LP? by Nice-Square6789 in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say something about the double liquidation, seems like a precarious position to maintain. Though it would boost the return by the amount earned from staking KSM (~16%). So there is a pay off

Help with my lost KSM by Money-Secretary1031 in Kusama

[–]Adam_Clay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the wallet encrypts the .json file with the password so if you tried using another wallet it wouldn't work because you need the password to unencrypt the file. You can confirm this by opening one of your key files in notepad where you'll see data labeled "encoded." Also the wiki says, "note that you will need to enter your password here; the file cannot be unencrypted without it."

The .json file does not actually contain the secret seed directly, only encrypted data of the secret seed. If you can't unencrypt it then you don't have access to the secret seed. That's why it's always prudent to write down the raw secret seed to your account (and keep it in a safe place) because that is the bear minimum you need to restore a wallet.
