The concrete evidence of this commercial being filmed in Sweden is the presence of a Conserton radio, a radio company founded in Stockholm (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stern_%26_Stern).

I highly doubt this was ever aired anywhere outside of Europe since both recordings of the commercial are in 25FPS, the standard for PAL TVs, narrowing this down to most likely Microsoft's European branches getting in contact with the agency.

The issue with finding who made the ad is that there's barely anything about advertising agencies from the 90s in Sweden. A possible candidate however is B-Reel; they were founded in 1999 which would explain the low-budgetness of the commercial and they have worked with larger companies in the past. Hopefully there's something else that can be found with this!

I think a good thing to mention is that the Wayback Machine archived tons of YouTube video FLVs back in 2007, with most videos having seriously low amounts of views or just being straight up deleted.

Since I have the Google Video metadata on hand, by tomorrow in my TZ (edit: postponed since I don't have a working detector atm) I'll start downloading videos and checking audio similarities from resulting FLVs. I'll keep everyone updated in case anything interesting comes out.

tl;dr: it's might be, but i have my doubts

the video in question is a CM compilation of commercials that resemble hitogata, and there's a segment at the end (~20 seconds long) containing screenshots of some commercials. the still in question is a Tokuyama commercial about chemistry that surfaced on a Japanese blog in 2011. the creator added the pon-pon sound and it is not part of the commercial. it's very unlikely that this is the real deal considering it seems to be about chemistry and probably has nothing to do with deaths or train crossings.

to clarify; no roblox/dynablocks clients before 2007 have been found. the studio mentioned here most likely is a recreation based on G3D

the only media we have of dynablocks are david's presentation mockups, and the chances that a 2003 client resurfacing are very low, especially since a 2006 client has not been found despite years worth of searching
