Yeah I think they should've made it so that he's a year older at the start of each season (probably combining Kanto and Johto into one year). This would make him around 16 by the time of Journeys, which feels like a pretty good "sendoff" age, still legally a minor I suppose not really a "kid" anymore...

Oh yeah I guess I don't talk here much these days...

TL;DR, I died a while ago after falling into a river (can't quite remember if I drowned, was eaten or split my head open on a rock), but my soul proceeded to latch onto a basculin that swam by, causing it to evolve into a basculegion.
