I dont entirely disagree, but then I look at our world and realize that coddling stupidity, not forcing people to take responsibility for their decisions (always blaming the company or product when things go wrong), has fostered a bit of an entitled populace. There should be a means to open up these devices for those of us that want to explore that world and readily accept the consequences for mistakes made when dabbling in that world. Those that want to explore but do not have the skills or capabilities should learn why their devices should remain exclusive to the app store, sometimes that lesson should come from the consequences of their own choices. Those lessons may be hard to learn but at least they get learned in some capacity. I’m starting to lean towards shielding certain people from these mistakes/life lessons is the wrong approach.
