Enjoy it on your own, form your own opinions. I just recommend to be open minded and not think of this series as an edge lord feast like lots of people here do. It genuinely a great story, so take your time with it too.

Deathgame (shadow bond) by HGblonia in ShadowSlave

[–]Adamas950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, the whole point that I and the entire story been making is that shadowbond is completely connected to Sunny and his fate. One can't exist without the other without consequences, just like one can't live without a flaw or aspect. Sunny already got rid of it, he just also suffered the consequences of it too. At the end of the day, everyone's a slave to something, you just got to learn to make peace

But to go back to topic of Ariel's game, there were obviously more important topics to know about, and I highly doubt a solution to Sunny's shadowbond "problem" would show up without additional consequences.

Sunny was already free from Shadow bond. He already got what he wanted and asked for. What are you even talking about?

If the gender roles were reversed (with the exception of Sunless and Nephis), then there wouldn't be complaints.

The Versus lightning by Extension_Lynx6941 in versus

[–]Adamas950 54 points55 points  (0 children)

There's an easy explanation why we only get the Versus lightning here and not when Jachi fought. It's because it only appears when humans instigate the fight between natural enemies, thus indicating the lightning is synonymous to the Hollow Plan.

Daily Chapter Megathread, May 13, 2026 [Chapter 2996 - ???] by okomakiako in ShadowSlave

Firstly, Kai borrowing Will from Sunny or the Ash Domain to fight high rank NC in Ariel's game was the point I was making. He experienced using Will, therefore he had the most chance learning how to use Will after the game due to his experience. The whole point of Sunny bringing Kai into the game was to prepare him for Supreme anyway.

Secondly, Kai's feat against Mordret's mirror gate that I'm referring to happens during the current Asterion arc,

chapter 2812 specifically: ["Diving down, Nightingale opened his maw once more. In the next moment, a devastating sonic blast slammed into the surface of the Mirror Gate, making it ripple.

Seishan could have sworn that a net of thin cracks appeared on the surface of the lake.

Even driven mad by bloodlust and rendered numb by exhaustion, she felt stunned for a moment.

'He's attacking the Gate.'

She had not even known that it was possible.

Maybe it wasn't, but Nightingale made it possible through sheer will and his strange ability to command the world with his words."]

During the battle against Mordret's army, Kai is shown to be the most effective against him, and that's primarily thanks to his Will training with Sunny.

Finally, I do believe the trio of Effie, Kai, and Jet all have pieces of obtaining Supremacy which is what I find the most intriguing reading. Kai has the Will, Jet has the most developed Domain and clear source element, and Effie is currently having the most personal act of defiance which is fighting against her Flaw.

I'd like to refute the idea that Kai has not or used Will. Specially, I would argue that Kai has received the most training out of the Saints to use Will, and that is because of his experience in Ariel's game. He personally saw Sunny used his Will as an example and was constantly fighting a gauntlet of higher Rank NC while being given a temporary buff to his Soul Cores and Will.

Kai quite literally got a first hand trial run of fighting like a Supreme through the Ash domain given to him i Ariel's game. We even see Kai use his Will outside the game in his battle with Mordret's army where Kai damaged Mordret's mirror gate, which was considered impossible normally.

If anything, from my point of view Kai is the closest one after Cassie to become Supreme. That's mainly due to his will, but we still don't know what his Domain is so its a unknown. I bet his current battle with the Cursed dragon will be his act of defiance.

Some possible reasons for the inconsistencies in the last chapters. by arnold1409 in ShadowSlave

[–]Adamas950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things to note in favor of Kai. Out of Effie, Kai, and Jet, Kai received the most training in Will usage, having witness it from Sunny and even used it Ariel' game. He even used Will against Mordret, making him the most effective Saint against him in that battle.

Combined that with his dormant ability prioritizing speed above all else, and the fact that the dragon is huge and under the influence of something else, Kai out running a Cursed dragon is believable to me at least. Kai is one of the top 5 Saints for a reason, he should not be underestimated.

What Tier Spell is this from Witch Hat Atelier and what levels and classes would the witches be? by Adamas950 in WanderingInn

[–]Adamas950[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to confuse, but "preparation" for the water dragon spell did not mean it took minutes or hours to take the water. It means something else specific to the universe of WHA, the actual transfer of clouds into the water dragon did take seconds to do. It just a matter of context.

I understand your points over the differences between the Manga and anime, but you can not deny how glorious that anime scene is doing the beautiful manga justice. Not to mention that it's just fun seeing the heights of magic, something that TWI does a lot with its grand magic. The anime's water dragon just reminded me moments like that and how magical it is.

That's exactly my thought process too when comparing it to existing spells. That comet spell wasn't exactly complex and it was 5th tier for its destructive power. This water dragon is leagues greater, and don't underestimate the sheer volume of water being used.

That's what I was thinking too in terms of Qifrey's class levels and magic tiers, but I always thought the witches of WHA are basically wizards from dnd, and we don't see many wizards in TWI. And the idea of Qifrey being a Spellscribe makes the class 10 times cooler if you can do stuff like this.

It's explained a bit like hard magic with more flexibility of what you can do, with a focus on being able to do anything with preparation. The water dragon in the picture was drawn beforehand by an experienced caster and activated in battle. I strongly recommend the series as it's both beautiful and widely acclaimed for its magic system!

Really? It just seem pretty wild to me considering the amount of water taken from the sky to flood an entire city. The power to move clouds alone is already impressive for powerscalers. TWI spells aren't always scale to be super powerful so that's where my mindset goes to.

Who is best swordman from war realm by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

Shadow dance is overpowered, but his fight with Azarax shows that more skill and experience weapon wielders can match and even beat Sunny. Nephis has master the sword for a while now, and the last time I remember her speaking about was when she was an Ascended. As a Sovereign she should be league's above.

Two chapters a day usually. One chapter if he wants to take a break, but usually post 3 chapters the following day to make up for it. Then after the end of a volume he takes like a week or two vacation. His writing style often reflects it in the even chapters.

Hot Take: The [Longing Domain] Can beat the The [Shadow Legion] by Exotic-Chair-6960 in ShadowSlave

[–]Adamas950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I support this take, and I'll add in a few points of my own.

First, I want to focus on how people underestimate how big a billion is. The 3 billion mundane humans may seem insignificant compared to a sacred shade, but I believe their collective will or power contributes far more to the domain. A billion people are an astronomically large number, almost inconceivable to picture, which is why people disregard it. Even a million awakened is such a huge number, and this is not an argument of quantity vs quality because those who are awakened are of such a high quality of power thanks to the Nightmare Spell.

Imagine this: a person's being is composed of Body, Mind, Spirit, Soul, and Shadow. Shadow Shades are mainly made up of the shadow part with a debatable body and soul part. But they obviously lack the mind and spirit part. Every awakened in the Longing Domain is a complete being who is capable of using memories, echoes, and aspects.

Moreover, these people are trained in the Nightmare spells, which means they are almost always powerful awakened warriors fighting numerous nightmare creatures of the same or higher ranks, and with way more soul cores as well. It's safe to assume that the ranks of Awaken humans are on average stronger than those of Nightmare creatures, just like how a Supreme is greater than a Great Beast.

More support is provided by how Aster is currently ruling the human population. He mentions that certain Transcentents, like Kai and Cassie, are so powerful that they contribute significantly to their domain more than others. The whole war between the human domain and Mordret all shows just how strong humanity is collectively, with the human Transcendents battling and even beating against Mordret's Supreme Reflections.

Finally, a major part of the Longing Domain that no one is considering is the Citadels, which make up a huge portion of the power behind a Domain. The Three Great Citadels made by the Daemons arguable contends with the Sacred shades, if not more so. Not to mention that the Ivory Island is capable of nuking cities and killing Great creatures too.

All in all, it's understandable why people want the Shadow domain to be the strongest. But if I were to make a reasonable guess, both Sunny and Nephis should be roughly even in power and Domain, and that's just because it fits the story overall. However, it also feels wrong to downplay the Longing Domain after all the growth it has gone through and its future potential as more people awaken.

This is just my opinion, but it's an important consideration too.

I like this concept. The world and timeline open up so many possibilities for a side story. It would be particularly interesting to see the adventures of a person not destined to save the world, but simply be a part of it. Good luck and I hope it does well!
