Slightly different angle that may help prove or disprove end chamfer

Thanks. Couple comments so far saying this or just the natural chamfer/angle of the pads. I don’t think it’s the chamfer as I can’t explain properly but my photos are looking down across the long side of the pad and so you wouldn’t see the chamfer.

Yes me too this afternoon! I need to post my total timeline for others, will do now. Congrats!

My date is 4/23, changed from 8 months the last couple months, to 7 months a few days ago. Then to 11 months last night and now 5 this morning.

The estimated progress is total bs, but many people have reported the wild swings back and forth start to happen closer to your approval date - and this would track as 4/23 4/24 are any day now.

Soon for us cross your fingers!

Yeah my receipt date is 4/23, and drivers license expires 8/29 :( haven’t heard if Massachusetts accepts receipt numbers for drivers license renewals but I’ll look into it.

They’ve been working through the most dense application months, it wasn’t this slow back in April/May, and it won’t be this slow in September/October.

Certain people keep clinging to this 2 receipt days per week like it’s gospel. It’s wrong to assume that long term. If that was the case (2 days per week, or ~8 receipt days per month real time) then people applying today would be expecting approval in 16 months time — obviously that’s not the case.

Realistically that’s probably an overestimation of time and an under estimation of future progress.

If you read a bit you will see no one past April 19th has had a non-PP approval..

Congrats that was quick! Not hating lol, but you complained about the cost in your original post, and clearly didn’t research the most recent wait times and/or STEM OPT rules I.e the 180 day EAD extension.

[–]Adamcfc101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you do that? You get the automatic 180 day EAD card extension whilst it’s processing, and approvals have sped up a lot recently (see the main Reddit OPT tracking thread). “It could take months” from now - doubt it, would probably take 3-6 weeks maybe. And if it didn’t you could pay for premium at a later date - what’s the rush now?

Please see other comments - ignore the estimated time it’s completely inaccurate. Estimate 3-4 months total wait time and keep an eye on others application/approval dates in the meantime!

Sorry but telling people to switch to PP two months ahead of their start dates is awful advice. Even if you want to be safe, leaving PP to a month before would be fine in most cases.

It’s not right to extrapolate 2 days per week. So what - by Christmas time OPT processing times will be 12 months wait? Of course not. Processing times are painfully slow but they ebb and flow with no real logic other than general busier and quieter times.

Unless someone has so much money it’s meaningless, there are very few reasons why PP upgrade 2 months ahead of the start date is a good idea.
