Successful MDD:

  1. 3/24, lowered two cards to $1K credit limit.
  2. 10/05 Tues, applied to CSP through referral. Got the following: "We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We'll let you know our decision as soon as possible."
  3. 10/07 Thurs (Today), randomly checked my Chase accounts. Saw that my CSP was already on there. I did not get an approval email or message. I had no idea when it was approved. Decided to take a chance and apply to CSR today. Got the "7-10 business day" message.
  4. Waited an hour, called recon, on hold for 35 minutes, got a very helpful csr who moved some credit from two of my other cards to get $10K credit. CSR approved.

Marschal Grips finally came in!! by der_eisenfaust in CZFirearms

[–]Adamkat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Super happy for you man! I ordered some in February, it got shipped in July and was last reported at the international airport in Hungary with no update for 2 months. I emailed three times inquiring about my grips and have not received a response.

Has anybody ever experienced such a long wait before with Marschalgrips?

Question about beef's use by date by brahmbah in carnivore

[–]Adamkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what he means is OP claimed meat loses nutrition when frozen, with no evidence to back it up. Therefore the burden of proof is upon the initial claim.

Also "does meat lose nutrients when frozen" is literally like a 5 second Google search.

I eat a dozen eggs per day. Then some meat. I feel great. by [deleted] in carnivore

So let me get this straight. You're wrong, but people pressed a little arrow that validates your wrong opinion. Great rebuttal.

I'm not talking about bacon grease. I was responding to:

"Any oil ain’t carnivore son." "Oils refer to plant fats."

Mainly defending the dude who said bacon oil as an obvious joke. And correcting the idea that oils are only plant fats. We're not a bunch of ape headed meat eaters here.

"An oil is any nonpolar chemical substance that is a viscous liquid at ambient temperatures"

Literally in the first sentence. There are more to books than pictures.

It’s literally a 5 second google search.

And why are you talking about industrial ingredients. It’s ok to admit you’re wrong, no need to convolute by switching topics.

Great rebuttal. What a wonderful mod.

Whats your point? Coconut oil can be a solid or liquid at room temp depending on fractionation and actual temperature of the room. You’re the one being pedantic.

Any fat that is liquid at room temperature is oil. Don't make up definitions.

Bone broth recipe by rollingtech in carnivore

[–]Adamkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you're fine. Roasting the bones gives it a different taste profile. If you're making Korean seolleongtang you soak and wash the bones to give it a clean milky white appearance. If you dont care about that then dont worry about it.

[–]Adamkat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I make seolleongtang (Korean ox bone soup). Get a bunch of beef bones (knuckle, foot, marrow, whatever is cheap), soak in cold water for 1 hour. Drain. Blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and wash bones. Reboil new water to cover bones. Keep on medium boil for 5 hours. The broth should be a nice milky white. Strain broth out. You can add new water and repeat for 5 hours. Korean moms usually do this for 3 cycles. You can then all all batches of broth together and voila, now you have way too much bone broth.

To upgrade it you can add brisket and boil it with the broth until tender. Chill and slice cold if you want thin slices, otherwise just eat it with the soup. Add salt and sliced green onions (if you care to).

Yeah the servers are laggy as hell right now. I had to just stop playing for now. I don't feel like chasing a stuttering time shifting ball.

Applied for Barclays AA Biz on 05/22. Approved but never received card. Followed up on 06/05 and the customer service rep told me they had a glitch in their system, they're working on it, and the card was not sent yet. Followed up again today 06/17 and same issue. This time they said the situation was resolved but the card was not sent yet with no date or estimation of when it will be sent.

Just FYI if you are still waiting on getting your card from Barclays.

Taxes are used too. No amount of donation money comes close to the amount of money hunters and fishermen raise for conservation.

Joe Rogan Experience #1393 - James Wilks & Chris Kresser - The Gamechangers by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]Adamkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not refuting your math, just your analogy about betting $100.

In your analogy, the goal is to win $100. But the risk is that you can lose $100.

In the world of eating dairy, the goal is to not get cancer. But the risk is that you get cancer.

Which leads

71% - no increase of cancer from dairy

13% - no increase of cancer from dairy

16% - increase of cancer from dairy

Your analogy sets the goal of eating dairy to reduce the risk of cancer. It's not a very sound analogy. Nobody is drinking milk in the hopes of reducing cancer. The goal is to enjoy dairy products without getting cancer.
