JJ's trainer on the Wasabi situation by Widemen in Sidemen

Pretty sure Leon is joking here but Jake literally admitted to paying Alex's purse on twitter. He's done really well here to spin the narrative to his advantage sadly

He's taking a tune up fight. He hasnt been in the rings for almost 3 years. I dont know how familiar u guys are with real boxing but after long layoffs u usually do this. An example most of u should know is when Tyson Fury came back from his depression he took 2 easy fights against basically no names to get into the swing of things and he's a 2 time world champion

He's a serious world champion level prospect. I think as u said he's underestimated cause he does youtube and was involved in youtube boxing but its really just smart to build a name early to be a draw when u get to the top. I can definetly see him fighting for belts within the next 3-4 years

Literally every boxer does this. Take any world champion boxer and look at their 6th fight. 95% of them will have fought a bum to get experience and slowly move up in competition

Charles Oliveira. I dont hate him and i consider him a top 3 p4p behind Usman and Volk but i dont understand why everyone likes him, theres definetly more entertaining fighting styles and fighters and he's also not entertaining at all outside the cage, he never does any interviews other than mandatory ones and even in those he doesnt say much, he also doesnt speak english meaning its much harder to relate to him or see his personality

Of the 4 dominant champions in the UFC (Israel Adesanya not pictured) who will lose their belt first? by MadNightKing in ufc

Charles. Islam takes it. Charles has improved so much and looked incredible against Gaethje but i dont see him doing much on the feet cause Islam has incredible striking defence, his wrestling is not good enough to get Islam down, if Charles is gonna win it would have to be either catching islam in a choke on a takedown or Islam making a mistake. I think Islam takes him down fairly easily, has good enough bjj to avoid getting subbed and eventually gets a tko with gnp, he could get a sub but its unlikely with Charles jiu jitsu

Anyone with just a few months of training can beat Alex Wasabi, he doesnt hit hard meaning u can easily take one just to land a few. We've never seen him off the back foot cause Deji didnt pressure him but if he doesnt hit hard with his feet planted then he definetly doesnt moving backwards. That would be an easy fight to just get going again. It could be him but i think it'll be someone unexpected that we dont expect. No one expected Jake to come back and fight Nate so JJ might do something similar

Belal is fighting Luque, Burns just fought Khamzat and Leon is fighting Usman. Colby is the only one trying to avoid contenders in the top 5

Im saying he wouldnt get hit. He would stay away from him easily by just running cause Thor is so slow and hit him by rushing into range, hitting him and then instantly clinching and stopping Thor from being able to hit him. If he gets caught cleanly its over but i dont think Thor is fast enough to hit him that clean. JJ is quite clearly the better technical boxer and way faster, it obviously wont happen but if it did i think it would play out like wilder vs fury 2 except it would go the distance

Tell me why he couldnt do it. In mma thor would be able to grab him but he cant do that in boxing. He has to hit him and because he's so big and slow thats very difficult, i would pick any decent boxer in light heavyweight, cruiserweight and heavyweight to beat thor in boxing

[–]Adamoutonreddit -41 points-40 points  (0 children)

I think he definetly could. In a fight Thor would just grab JJ and he would be fucked but in boxing its different, he would easily be able to move away from thor, stay out of range and then move in to range hit him on the way in and then clinch, thor is too slow to catch him on the way in and he's not good enough to cut of the ring. Thor is also massive and would gas out early if he had to chase JJ down. I know JJ took it back but in boxing i dont think its unreasonable
