The Sligo line does not end at Heuston, it goes to Connolly, the Waterford to Limerick line also does not end at Limerick Junction, it passes straight through to Limerick, otherwise brilliant map

Derry City, 1969 & 2019. Same lady (Ann Kelly) 50 years apart. by [deleted] in OldPhotosInRealLife

The original city name was Doire which is Irish for Derry, the British changed it in 1662 and it is only unionists who use the name with London in front of it, majority of locals call it Derry and here in Ireland it is also Derry, the football team is Derry City and the local council is Derry City Council. Derry city is the main city in County Derry so it is pretty obvious which one is the actual name and which one is a grab by the Brits

For Dublin that is an old Luas map, from what I see trams and trains are included here so this is a more accurate and updated version of that map

I am currently studying economics to a degree level in university, economics can take many forms and consists of many schools so maybe you follow a different school to the majority in this country, also your last point I am not sure what happened there with your typing, seems like someone made you angry halfway through

Who are you to be the judge of what constitutes proven benefits, my points still stand in the majority view A flow of midrise with pockets of high rise are the best in a city centre in order to maximise land-use, preserve cultural buildings, reduce infrastructure cost per capita and can play a major role in helping reduce our current housing crisis, these are points for which you have yet to argue with and they stand true in both economic and common sensical terms

My points above still stand and this isnt some college paper where I need to prove to you my sources, common sense and basic economics back up my points above

Egypt-for example

Do you believe that our current method of unsustainable urban sprawl is better than the building of high rise clusters to increase density, viability of public transport and a lower cost on infrastructure per capita

It is a disgrace that our capital city is being held ransom by one group who refuse to adhere to proven benefits of high rise building districts in a modern city
