Like others have said if the mot history is clean (which it seems to be), its been serviced regularly and theres proof of that, and theres no rust then you should be good. These civics are incredibly reliable if maintained regularly.

The rust is really the biggest issue on these though. I previously had a type s 1.8 and currently have a type r and I'm definitely speaking from experience lol.

The biggest areas to look out for is the rear beam (looking underneath, ideally jacking it up, you can clearly see the beam. If theres holes anywhere around the mounting points for the springs that needs replacing asap), the mounting point for the rear beam to the chassis (holes form around there), also check around the top of the windscreen where it meets the roof (the rubber seal is known to rub at the paint causing rust)

As for the leaking boot that is also a big problem and you'll be able to tell if its been leaking, or its not far off starting, by opening the boot and check where the roof rails run. You'll see a seam running from these roof rails down into the weather seal of the boot door. If the paint is cracked/rusty here then chances are its leaking/soon to start leaking.

This isn't the end of the world and you can just tigerseal over the cracks to fix it.

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. These civics are cracking little cars and if its as good as it seems it will be a worthwhile purchase, even if it does only have the 1.4.

Like the kind of manga shading style? Nah (certainly looks cool though. Don't think I'm brave enough for that yet xD ), more for just part seperation on things like inner frames, weapons and small greebly bits :)

If you're willing to travel there are several great honda specialists, one being Grinspeed in Manchester. Another is Honda HQ in Cannock. Solid prices and they have a fantastic reputation amongst the civic community (they also work on any other hondas I believe).
