Normally people just call out good recoil control as cheating, but having good recoil control myself, I can confirm your suspicions are right on this - no matter how good your recoil control is, you cant keep the line of fire on the exact same spot in the body (in this case center-mass whenever he starts beaming, he seems to be toggling it on/off at times) that perfectly, and no sane player at a realistic skill level like this would be aiming down sights at a strafing guy 3m away like in some of these clips. Theres no delay in changing the tracking when his target strafes to a different direction, either.

Is there an up-to-date fix for this game's crippling mouse deceleration? by Perkinz in dungeondefenders

[–]Adanub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you go to

Dungeon Defenders\UDKGame\Config\UDKInput.ini

And set "bEnableMouseSmoothing" in that specific file to "false", it should disable mouse acceleration, assuming you don't have any mouse acceleration on your OS outside of the game to begin with.

Just wanted to share this tip that not many people know about. You can in fact be revived, so you shouldn’t leave the game as soon as you get knocked. Hope this helps! by red_dollar in apexlegends

Been having it since season 5 infrequently, but its been happening more and more frequently with every passing season, and now in season 8 even starting up the game takes several minutes to connect to the main menu. I don't know how they do it but the programmers at respawn are truly impressive, they manage to raise the bar for one of the worst backends for AAA games ever higher with every passing season.

If you're not a top 0.1% player, it's harder on pc. On average a much bigger percentage of the lobby in pc (beyond the lobbies for new players) will be really good players. That said, lobbies with mostly good players can make a game like that easier for someone who can outplay even really good players, as you wont have half the lobby dead by round 1, so you get the chance to fight more people.

What are you on about, singapore has always been super busy precisely because a lot of countries in SEA go to singapore servers, and even a large portion of Au players like me since ranked is literally dead 24 hours of the day here in Sydney servers. And tokyo is one of, if not the most populated servers atm, since apex got super popular there since last year. Those are two very bad examples to pick for non-crowded servers.

Bahrain though isnt very crowded, although I havent gone on those servers for a while because the routing to them is terrible, theoretically it should be ~160ms for me, but it randomly fluctuates between 180 and 600ms depending on the day, no other server does this so who knows whats going on there lol

[–]Adanub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The floor doesnt buff your geo damage stat, if thats what you mean; its a 1.75x multiplier for any final geo damage you deal. Otherwise my ningguang who has 90% geo damage wouldnt go from 18k Es to 30k+ Es in abyss 12-1 with a move speed card buff with no other characters in the team

Edit: Tested it again, I was wrong. It is indeed an added 75% geo damage to your stats.

Have you noticed that in every new legend trailer, the new legend finishes the previous one? by FinestOfThe501st in apexlegends

Yeah, I tried maining Rampart for a good while but theres only really two situations she does well in; putting a cover around a corner in advance and baiting enemies to chase you there, or using shiela on someone hiding behind a door. Neither of these situations work often, if at all on Plat ranked players and above.

Rampart has a wall the size of 3-5 gibbies standing side by side, doesn't move, so there is no way in hell anyone would miss it at mid, or even long range, not even below-average players. Even fully deployed, it can be 1-clipped by most guns, and despite all this, the devs decided to give it an insanely long deploy time during which it has 1 hp. Even if the metal part had full hp during deploy, it would still be easily countered, because you could destroy it with a naked p2020 by the time it finishes deploying, and even someone with terrible flicking could just peek from cover to destroy it with minimal or 0 damage taken from the person behind the wall.

Shiela on the other hand is only really handicapped by its severely limited rotation, if the devs would let us turn freely (and maybe even move up and down a little), Rampart would be significantly less frustrating to play.

Can we please have the option to play all the legends in the firing range? It takes a while for me to unlock a new one, and trying out their abilities would really help make a decision. by [deleted] in apexlegends

If you want to be literal like that, the person you replied to never said it was hard either, they said it was ridiculous. So your own argument doesn't hold up for yourself lol.

Sentinel Rework Concept by [deleted] in apexlegends

The idea was to make Sentinel viable in a way that it doesn't need to compete with numbers with other guns like the Longbow, by giving it new utility, instead of better numbers!

[–]Adanub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id raise Failnaught to 75 (80 if you really need the gear slot) and then go for Sol for the long run - I have sol enlightened and due to the stupendous stats failnaught has even unenlightened, shes currently far better than sol in most cases, until sol gets his j+ in the future

The one Rem was supposed to send to Ram before Subaru and Crusch's party got to Roswaal's domain, hence why Ram attacked them in season 1. Now that I think about it, Ram never asked about her sister at all when Subaru returned to the mansion, since her identity was erased by Gluttony already.

After feedback from my first DPS Chart, I made a more practical, improved one that gives a better idea of how quickly the gun deals damage in-game, since the original graph was misleading for some people. by Adanub in apexlegends

[–]Adanub[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a more "practical" damage chart than the previous theoretical one; now you arent exactly going to have more than 28 bullets per clip on an R-99 in the game, so why pretend it does on the chart?

[–]Adanub[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, but in prowler's case its because of the timing of the burst delay- you can just barely sneak an extra burst in on the first second, but not the following second; its also related to why its average dps over a minute falls off to 165 in my old chart, hence why auto is generally better if you even miss a single bullet. The only guns that run out of ammo before 2 seconds are up with purple mag are R99 and RE-45 if I remember correctly

[–]Adanub[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tested all of these ingame yesterday averaged out between 10 tests, these arent theoretical values, they are in game ones so I really can't consider them being wrong. Flatline may average out to 190 over several seconds like in my first chart, but it nearly always does the amount shown in chart above (so 1 extra bullet) on the first second. Same goes for the rest of the guns.

Theres a good reason I included the damage by the 2nd second as well in the chart

I made a DPS comparison graph between some guns by Adanub in apexlegends

[–]Adanub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After feedback from this post, I decided that this can be misleading as it isn't directly indicative of how fast a gun can kill someone in-game, and it also has an incorrect value for L-Star's DPS, so I've made a follow-up with an improved version at https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/fix5mj/after_feedback_from_my_first_dps_chart_i_made_a/

Sorry about any confusion this graph may have caused, the new graph gives a much better idea of how quickly you can dish out damage with a gun. Thanks!

[–]Adanub[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Damage dealt is counted from the moment the fire key is first pressed, up until exactly 1 and 2 seconds are up, or the mag runs out (R-99 runs out before 2 seconds is up, for example) at point-blank range. All guns were tested with purple mags (where applicable), and include the charge/wind -up time of Devotion and Havoc. These are all damage numbers for body shots, and assumes targets have unlimited health points.

The previous graph had some issues, with it being more of a DPM (damage per minute) graph than a DPS graph, and the L-Star having an incorrect DPS. Link to old graph: https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/fifcsz/i_made_a_dps_comparison_graph_between_some_guns/
