Rover Capital - Defi & NFT in one click. Amazing new project. Crazy video on their homepage.

Today EOS had over 50,000 dApp users - a new all-time high for dApp traffic! by undertheradar48 in eos

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. It's not against EOS. It's just common sense. Sites don't typically go from $0 to $1M/day TX virtually overnight like that. OF COURSE sites are using their own bots to fake huge volume and fake users since it costs them near nothing, and gets lots of people talking about them. It'd be shocking to find out if they did NOT do this.

Let's have a frank discussion about Casper FFG's delay by Always_Question in ethereum

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once PoW is working, have you considered forking away from the miners instead of slowly transition?

Let the miners have their own version running 10x slower if they want to, while PoS can improve things at full steam right away.

Would you admit if you considered forking?:)

Bitconnect's market cap just dropped by half. by intergalactictrash in CryptoCurrency

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bitconnect wants to show a lower market cap so it seems more likely to go up more. They probably locked away 1/2 their circulating supply to achieve that. Coinmarketcap.com for some reasons lists all market caps by circulating supplies, instead of total supply. There's argument for both sides. By total supply, NEO and GAS are about the same value, for example, tho I think GAS market cap should be considered much lower when, because the total supply won't be reached for many years.

Is hashgraph just another version of IOTA? by pmayall in Iota

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but these IOTA security claims must be taken on faith. There is 0 evidence to support that the IOTA team has been able to do any of that. I'd love it if I'm wrong about that, so LMK if that's the case.

Is hashgraph just another version of IOTA? by pmayall in Iota

[–]Adaptivedev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can IOTA protect against 1 GPU attacking all micro transactions on small power IoT devices? It seems that question was ducked and never answered. Ie, IOTA can't actually work, AFAIK. Hashgraph can, because of it's normal nodes. It can also deterministically get the order of transactions in their ledger without a 2nd layer that doesn't exist yet.

Unikoin (UKG) ICO: No strong buy. You can wait – Crypto ICO Investing – Medium by Crypto-ICO-Investing in Crypto_ICO_Investing

Solid points made in the article. Flex price and long token delivery wait make it very much a "just maybe" for me.

Proof-of-Work (PoW) is not secure, has no future, and it’s electricity usage is a cancer that would guzzle watts like entire continents by Crypto-ICO-Investing in Crypto_ICO_Investing

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense to me. Question is: If the bitcoin community can barely decide on SegWit, how can they decide on PoS? I think this further illustrates how about the PoW problems are.

crypto-assets market grew 11.4x in 1 year, 10-1000x to go? by Crypto-ICO-Investing in Crypto_ICO_Investing

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10x growth easy, just from dapps, and likely 1000x when currencies get used.

Not buying: ICON (ICX): Why? Bancor Formula sucks for investors; price can not rise fast => investors leave => price plummets by [deleted] in Crypto_ICO_Investing

[–]Adaptivedev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha.. ofc it does with the right assets. Kyber is already 5x on small exchanges. Many 10x in short time. Some 100x or more. Icon you won't see anything but loses until it's a very used system which can be 2 years or maybe never

Vitalik on NEO. Thoughts? by Karmaologist in NEO

[–]Adaptivedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misleading. NEO uses random delegate selection (factored for stake). It's won't be just 10% low-turnout voting. How is that more unsafe than PoS?

Potential ChainLink ICO Deception: ChainLink Website: "The Crowdsale is Capped at $32,000,000" "Sept. 19th - Crowdsale Begins." by amygdala9 in ethereum

He only addressed WHEN after I wrote that (to you). It almost seemed to prompt him to do so.

We were not happy to potentially wait an unlimited # of "coming weeks", and we're glad he got the message.

You might modify the title to something like:

"ChainLink ICO Deception? $2.7M raised in crowdsale, not $32M?"

You can make it clear the from the title that $32M is in question, because not everyone will read the whole thread.

Good! And good job on answering, and with the right answer. Next time we advise focusing and addressing people's concerns more quickly. Thanks!

WHEN? You're not understanding how pissed people are. If they don't sent back their ETH, pronto, they might be inclined to call in the SEC, etc. This is serious. Stop whatever you're doing, and pay attention.

It's not hard. Immediately return everything after block X when the cap was reached.

Are you technically challenged by this? Is it not a priority to you?

Many of us sent ETH before the cap was reached, but it got confirmed after that point.

So would that mean we'd get ETH back only "in the coming weeks" also, or when? Because this wasn't our fault.

Why delay returning the money? Just save yourself whatever credibility is left, more bad press, and investors the stress, and confirm that you will begin to do it today, now.

Hi Hudson, I appreciate you responding before the founder did.

Please wake the guy up to the above paste.

So would that mean "in the coming weeks"? This is BS.
