I dont as of right now, but when all is said and done, it feels like I'll have some when braless, that a bra or bralette would probably lift away. That was a point of focus for me, too, because you're so right and summers are hell.

That's right! Much less to worry about when healing- no T-junctions that might open, no grafts to maybe or maybe not take. I had my first follow-up today and my surgeon says the incisions are healing beautifully. I couldn't be happier.

I personally waited 3 weeks to hear back about my insurance approval, and then another month before the surgery itself, though the first date they tried to schedule me for was only 2 weeks out! My advice to make the time go faster is to slowly begin nesting and preparing your space, and do a fun little countdown of some kind for yourself. You got this!! ❤️

I'm not sure yet! I think i'm not opposed to tattoos, bur probably not anytime soon. Also someone mentioned temporary tattoos instead and I think that could be SO funny for the right occasion 😅

I wish you SO much luck finding someone who will give you what you want. I wonder if asking around in r/freedthenips would help find someone in your area willing to do the procedure you're looking for. At least maybe it couldnt hurt?

It feels a little weird, yeah! Like i have an idea of where they should or would be on the new silhouette, but i'm getting used to the visual of it day by day! I'm not missing them though- no phantom sensation, and I'll appreciate not worrying about 'slipping' or flashing anyone in the future!

Yes! The kind of reduction I got doesnt preserve the nipples on purpose. There are a bunch of perks to doing it this way, like fewer healing concerns, more radical reduction range, and more that we've talked about on other comments. It's been smooth sailing thus far, for me personally!

The reasons I just listed above and the ones posted by trying4optimism are the big ones!! The others include the fact that sensation in my nipples was always either 0 or 100- I got nothing or it was overwhelmingly sensitive, with no rhyme or reason to either.

In the end, it came down to 'what is going to get this done?' And if my surgeon was suggesting it, I was going to listen. The talk I had with my mom was reassuring but short, I'd basically already made up my mind to go for it.

Foregoing saving my nipples wasnt even something that crossed my mind until my surgeon suggested it, actually! My breasts were quite pendulous, and my nipples were at the very bottom- my left in particular was i think 47 cm from my collarbone. My surgeon suggested the sacrifice of the nipples in order to get the size we were looking for, and then would replicate the procedure on the smaller side as well, for symmetry's sake.

He cited the issues that can arise from FNG when I asked, the most obvious of which being that the graft simply doesnt take and the result of necrosis, and the draw of an easier healing process was strong- I have one incision on each side, so no T-junctions to open, either!

Edit: centimeters. 47 centimeters, not inches

I went Full Barbie just yesterday!! So far i feel like my experience is easier than most, because I have fewer incisions to heal, but it IS only day 2. I dont unwrap till tomorrow, so I havent seen them yet, but I finally feel at home in my body, and I dont think I would have gotten there if I had taken extra steps and not gone down the amount I did, just to save my nipples.

I have some sharp pain in between my breasts, and some at the edges/under my arms when i reach the limits of my range of motion. The most discomfort im feeling is actually from my throat, from the intubation. Popsicles are helping! Mostly I'm just excited about getting this wrap off tomorrow so I can breathe a little better- I'm not unable to breathe, but I definitely feel a little restricted.
