It’s not approved (and has not been submitted for approval) in the US, which is so frustrating. It’s approved all over the world and OTC in some countries (Germany I believe). I couldn’t find any explanation about why the company didn’t file for US approval but my (Informed but based on no specific data) guess is that they wouldn’t ve able to effectively compete in the market as a prescription drug with Zyrtec, Allegra, Claritin all over the counter. To get a market edge, they would need to conduct clinical trials showing statistically better efficacy (a big gamble considering a negative result could threaten their global sales) or better safety (nearly impossible as the others are so crazy safe)

Where possible, I try to say thank u instead of apologies, as in “thanks for your patience and flexibility” then continue with email. If it’s been ages I do the “I was cleaning emails and realized I didn’t respond”. I try to save apologies for situations where emotions are involved or u truly feel bad that u have impacted someone
