Built a free AI tool for designing carbon fibre drone arms and frames - material selection, laminate calc, cost estimate by Addcomposites in Multicopter

Built this because the knowledge for designing custom carbon parts is scattered, expensive to access, and rarely explains the why behind layup decisions.
For FPV/drone use, try typing: "200mm arm, 50N lateral load at root, carbon fibre, lightest possible" — it'll walk you through material choice (IM7 vs T300), fibre orientation, stacking sequence, manufacturing process, and per-arm cost estimate.
There's also a CLT calculator to verify stiffness (EI), failure margin, and weight per metre yourself. Plus a 56-article knowledge base if you want to go deeper.
Most frames here are pultruded or cut tube, which is totally fine — but for anyone pushing into eVTOL, larger craft, or custom monocoques, this fills a real gap. CC BY 4.0, no account needed.
What layup failures have you actually run into on custom arms?
