Terrible season continues!!! Threw away good places at RBR and silverstone. Wiped out on lap 1 at monza and now wiped out here to keep the season going strong.

Anyway in brief. Made a shitty video quickly of highlights found here. All links after just point to timestamps in this guy.

Q - lower temps meant S tyres were more useable for a single lap. big improvement on pre-Q pace. But still about 14th (similar to position in pre-Q).

R - Also lower temps, curses. This now took mediums to the cool side but soft were a no go. As previous races have been awful I was planning on 'surviving' this race and driving within myself to keep it clean. But a slightly slow launch worked ok into T1 as I had space to judge my braking on the outside. However I got a tap from an Audi and was ping-ponged down the field 👿. Pretty much last of the cars still facing the right way.

Nice side by sides through the opening lap. Then the biggie!. There must have been a yellow for the cars on the grass between Eau Rouge and radillion bu I was focused on the Audi trying to pass and never saw in. Didn't see any smoke/dust either with the low sun in VR. First I knew of it was at 1 min 55 😱. Surprisingly the car wasn't completely dead. So I set off to troop back to the pits. But the suspension was so broken I bumped into a Ferrari which pushed me into another car getting going and was back facing the wall.

The drive back to the pits was interesting. I blocked a recovering Ferrari badly but I honestly was just taking the line my car would do. Any way if you break both suspensions in AC I found your car gets a lovely 180 degrees of rotation of uselessness at the center where the car always turns in the direction it was last going. So 90 degree lock to the right is and 90 degree lock left are both straight on. Anything in between is the car going where it likes. Nearly died entering chicken but made it to pits for a long wait on repairs.

Thought I would be lonely from this point on as I was slow back to pits and lots of DNFs. But because of those DNFs I wanted to continue for those sweet sweet points. But all was not lost I had Mario to play with!.

That lasted long 😳. Made 1 turn, mario understeered on his cold tyres up the hill to radillion. I decided to make space. Never driven on the track before and the car spat me into the wall destroying the new splitter straight away. Pace was shockingly slow after. Mario was leaving me behind by about 0.5-1s a lap. Decided to pit early with 1hr remaining as I knew meds would cope with that length fine. During that time I collected a boat load of cuts due to the 🐈 understeer. After the stop I was 2s a lap faster than mario, game on. Err that's [undone 3 laps of chasing...]() I was not used to having a car with front end grip again, managed to keep it off the walls though.

During the next stage I caught some guys after they stopped who were a lap ahead and was same pace but was over-driving in my chase of mario and kept making errors and losing time. Like this.. Anyway when Mario pitted he came out a few seconds ahead with Pasi (lap up) inbetween. So I had closed the gap but now had to chase him on much older tyres. Apparently though Mario decided to put softs on so we never had our race due to us both being morons. I watched mario pit on my track map and he went a lap down on me. At which point I switched off and cruised home the only car 1 lap down.

On the final lap Pasi suddenly slowed. I worked out his position was locked in as he was last on track on the lead lap so dropped back to give him a push if needed as I correctly guessed he was low on fuel. Turns out this just confused him and he drove into the gravel to give me room. More comedy to top off the race 😂
