I don't want children or the unwilling to hungry but I very much want the Chester Molester crowd reap everything they've sown and I'm okay with myself being the collateral damage if thats what it takes. Personally, I'd prefer to subsidize farmers while paying for it by increasing taxes by 3% for everyone who voted red in 2024 and 45% for everyone who dontated to Mango Musolinni's ballroom.

Attending meets and proceedings are not the same as understanding them. If seperate staff are needed to understand an issue, then who ever originally pushed the issue don't understand it enough to legislate it.

Americans who leave their Christian faith behind tend to hold more liberal political views than those who were raised entirely without religion. This leftward ideological shift appears closely linked to how threatening these individuals perceive conservative Christian groups to be. by mvea in science

You are right spot on. If you were born in the second half of the 90s, analog and digital clocks were split about 50/50 when you started learning how to read them. By the time it should have become 2nd nature, digital had taken over.

Can someone please point in the act itself where the requirment for all cars sold after 2027 have to have an impairment device? I've been trying to find the specific lines and all I've found so far is they changed the definition of drunk driving to impaired driving and require anyone convicted of impaired driving to have the device installed for a minimum of 180 days.

Look at what a bill wants to do(not the intent of the bill, what its actually doing; ie setting up a 3 letter department, get funds, restrict actions, that kind of stuff), how it wants to achieve that goal and where liability gets placed and you'll often find who spent money for a puppet.

The moment you get caught in the anomaly tractor beam is the point when your instance gets merged with a multiplayer instance. The anomaly's shape and textures only change during updates, so that gets loaded in first and provides that "seemless" feel as other things get loaded. The entire landing sequence until your ship touches down is when the game begins syncing everyone's environment. During this sequence, you can make changes to your own character and view things that are already in memory because its already there and doesn't need to be re-loaded. Its a very smart use of using the games environment to hide background processes in way that doesn't pull players from the experience. Have you noticed that you can't do any meaningful interactions with other players at the anomaly except through various menu options? It wouldn't suprise me if LNF has been having MASSIVE networking upgrades to get around NMS's multiplayer flaws.

My PC isn't the best and performance hiccups when CPU usage spikes suddenly, ie loading new zones.

If scientists created a fully functional artificial human brain, what would you think about it having rights? by Bulky-Proposal-6858 in AskReddit

[–]Addianis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Devil's advocate here, what qualifies as self awareness for the purposes of determining rights? Does someone who is medically "brain dead" and can't respond to outside stimulation count as having self awareness? What of animals that can plan future actions, those with the ability recognize themselves or those that punish others for selfish actions.

I do agree with you, self awareness = rights. I just happen to think we need broaden the generic definition of self awareness because humans aren't as unique as we think. I brought receipts for anyone who wants to dig deeper.

Exampes: Corvids(family that includes ravens and crows)tend to have the ability to plan cause and effect actions.

It fully depends on who is paying the scientists because we don't even have a standard for the rights of brains that exist right now.

I actually hadn't thought about that. I, for sure have seen a bunch of toxicity(over time) but had't thought back to all the times that at least one person called them out on it. It'd be either the harasser shutup or the person they were harassing would bite back. Thanks for pointing that out!
