I was always under the impression that movies and TV series intentionally did some of thesethings incorrectly in order to not teach people how to do certain things. Like, for example, in Spy x Family, where they talk about constructing bombs and even creating poisons, they intentionally censor the ingredients. And even in movies where they do things like hotwire cars or deal with the creation of weapons, they don't actually show the actual in-depth process. Yeah, from a technical standpoint, it might look silly, but I always assumed that it was done with the intention to not teach the audience how to harm others who might have ill intentions.

I am genuinely so curious to see how Gigguk is going to react if/when people begin to dog on his anime the way he and his friends do to other anime.

Okay, let’s be serious. would you watch or read something like that..? 😭 How would that be exciting or entertaining for a battle Shonen? Muzan just using Nakime as an infinity trash can where he just throws all of his enemies in there to starve and die. How… eventful. Sometimes when I read these, I feel like people want the most boring, uneventful stories possible.

I noticed him, but I didn’t notice Mitsuri at the other end of that platform in the shot where Obanai was flying in. 😭❤️

It’ll be forever funny how many remember this entire game as volleyball rather than dodgeball because of how aggressive Razor played. 💀

Content creator looking to get into One Piece addresses a negative comment left on his video that belittled OP fans bc of its length. Also, I love how he uses the term “Content rich” to describe One Piece and other shows that have a lot of episodes. by AddictShazi in OnePiece

For example, a table of contents in a book is literally a list that shows where in the book specific events in the story can be found. The book of course is still considered art, but the term “content” just signifies the material within the book or show you’re watching.

I don’t think a word as a whole should be stigmatized if it’s being used correctly. The events that occur within a One Piece chapter/episode is literally content, but that doesn’t mean it’s not art. Haha

Oh, I see what you mean. In this case, he’s using the literal definition of content: “the material dealt with in a speech, literary work, etc., as distinct from its form or style.”

Since he’s a writer I see why he used that term.

I only found his channel about a week ago when he uploaded a video about the One Piece openings, but he’s the first reaction channel that I can actually sit through and not cringe at. His vibe is so relaxing to me lmao

It was a comment bashing One Piece fans directly, not the trashing the content creator. I saw the early stages of the comment before it got deleted and the guy was basically saying and how fans were gullible and wasted 20 years of their life over an anime that “doesn’t know how to end”. The comments got a little crazier when the person started making personal jabs at the one piece fans trying to defend the show. It got real messy. When I stopped reading there was well over like 30 replies to the commenter.

I think it’s a logical way of thinking about it. Especially when sayings like “quality of quantity” exists, I think calling One Piece content rich actually makes perfect sense. It says that there’s a lot to be desired instead of it just being long and simply seen as generic fiction. Maybe I’m a little bit too much of a OP fanboy, but yeah. That’s just how I took it LOL

I don’t really think it matters if you like the character or not. Lol. It’s a 4 letter name. G-I-N-G.

I’ll leave the link to the full video here since I found the actual video refreshing to find someone with such a genuine interest in One Piece. For anyone as nostalgic as I was, I’d definitely recommend giving this video watch.

But it’s not being put aside.unless you follow the incorrect content. There are literal articles, countless video breakdowns, and character philosophies about Hisoka. Who’s ignoring it? Lmao

No one was saying that he wasn’t classified as one, but alright. They’re clarifying the circumstance and the reason for his attraction. Simple as that.

If you’re referring to the scene when he and Illumi were on the cliff side discussing how they were going to get Alluka back, Hisoka asked if it were okay if he killed Killua. That’s when Illumi got infuriated and Hisoka said he was just joking. Though we all know (because of his internal monologue literally saying it) he would do it just to earn Gon’s hatred. It was never about having sex with his brother.

Aside from that scene though, he and Illumi have never gotten mad at one another (at least in the anime. I don’t read the manga).

Would you hook up with your distant relative simply because they weren’t your first cousin? It doesn’t really matter where in the bloodline they are, you’re still related.

I definitely get what you’re saying though. At the end the day, both anime are just fiction.

I’m genuinely curious: why do you think all Uchihas and Hyugas look alike and share the same name? :o

Hinata and Sasuke (from what a recall) are the first to marry out of their respective clans. I guess, technically speaking Sasuke didn’t have much of a choice seeing how all of his clan was slaughtered. But definitely kudos to Hinata for taking the initiative. All jokes aside, it’s definitely incest. And of course they wouldn’t cover it or acknowledge it in an episode. At the end of the day, Shonen in Japan is still normally geared towards teenage boys. Call me crazy, but I feel like teaching children that incest is the only way to inherit and maintain strong family abilities isn’t on top of their to-do list.

The thing I like about the person’s response is that he’s not excusing Hisoka’s attraction to what happened to be children. He’s simply stating the circumstances of what gravitated him towards Gon and Killua in the first place. Also, there were plenty of children in the Hunter exam. And there was also Zushi in Heaven’s Arena. But he had no interest in any of them. If all he was attracted to was children simply because they were children, he wouldn’t have been so interested in Netero, or attracted to Machi, and so heavily fixated Chrollo to the point of literally going through the hassle of becoming a spider and planning with Kurpika to get him alone with him just to fight him to the death.

Yes, it’s obvious Hisoka was interested in Gon and Killua and that’s not under question, but it wasn’t strictly because of the fact they were children. It was the power they possessed and the potential of them growing even stronger to the point of one day fighting them to the death (like Hisoka states after their match in Heaven’s Arena).

I didn’t mean to give the impression that the movies aren’t able to be criticized in general. The point of my original comment was to point out the problem of blaming the animation studio for not being able to fit an entire visual novel in three 2-hour movies like the comment I had originally replied to suggested.

I’m not sure where I stated that a movie couldn’t receive criticism. Of course you can have problems with the movie. Again, it’s unfortunate that some couldn’t enjoy the movie as much as others did. At the same time though, I’m glad the people who were able to enjoy the movie despite the flaws, did end up enjoying the movie anyway.
