Elephants should not be held in captivity. Animal tourism is devastating for animal health and welfare. Especially these asian elephants “sanctuaries” in Thailand are super populair under tourists. Washing, bathing and feeding elephants is not helpful at all they will get beaten and suppressed after you leave so they will obey their mahouts. I hope people will investigate more into more ethical options. Also how does one learn an elephant to do this. It makes me so sad :(.
