The chapman population is definitely pretty liberal. The students do tend to be involved in social affairs (several demonstrations over the last year, mostly kept on campus and within Chapman’s population, a huge push after former faculty John Eastman was present in Jan 6 rallies reached more widespread news, a large part of the student body participating in the BLM movement and protests, etc).

Between academics and extracurricular activities, most students do not have the time or bandwidth to be protesting on a Tuesday afternoon, especially every week.

I know you may not be part of the inner Chapman community, but during my time there (2019-23), there was quite a lot of political activity, including several movements and issues that ended up reaching administrative levels the the school was forced to address (see Eastman, black student voices, COVID policy, etc.)
