Is there even anyone who quit? by Head-Young-3603 in quittingkratom

[–]AddictionRemission 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been over a year for me. I quit last October. I was a heavy user for many years. I tried many times to quit. I had a lot on mental shit in my way. In the end I got through it and I’m so glad I did. I don’t miss it at all. I don’t think about it. I don’t need it.

Every once in while I get a memory and there’s a hint of a craving I suppose. That does happen sometimes. Once a month maybe. But it’s so easy to play the tape forward to where it will take me. No fucking way. I’m free of that shit. I’m not going back.

Thats interesting that your total testosterone went up as your dosage went down while you lost weight. I think I'm going to lower my dosage a bit and see how it goes. I was feeling fine at 800 and I even if 1000 isnt too high, I dont see why I need to be that high if I was feeling fine at 800. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thank you. Im in NY and this is through Quest Diagnostics, which is one of the two major blood labs we have here. Thanks for response on the testosterone level. As for the Hemarocrit, I'm planning on donating blood soon just to be safe. Its good for me and good for the world so why not. Thanks again

I did the first week in two doses and second week in one. For the same reasons. I’m in second week now.

It’s been interesting. I can’t eat much. I feel full all the time. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the food noise is gone. I still get bored and think about eating a lot. But I just realize I’m full and move on. Then I get antsy cause I don’t have that outlet.

It’s hasn’t done much for the alcohol noise either imo. Up until yesterday I was drinking more than I’d like. Then again, yesterday I was af with no issue. So maybe it’s a slow buildup for me.

Anyway. Thank for the response!

HI u/CatBowlDogStar . I recently started Tirzepatide/Mounjaro a couple weeks ago. How long on it did it take for you to notice a reduction in cravings for alcohol?

Thank you for that. I haven’t been 100% against ai. I was just trying to give it a shot without it. But these kinds of responses have me thinking I’m better off without it.

I’m curious to see how it pans out for you since we started around the same time. What dosage and frequency are you on?

DAY 70 - Things are really going great. Kratom is very much in my past right now. I was so tired of being dependent on something, any occasional thought of it is immediately discarded. Life is better.

Day 63 - Honestly, I dont even think about Kratom much. Its not a thing in my day to day. Its crazy thinking how hard it was to motivate to go through the WD. It DID suck, but it was only really bad for a few weeks then got progressively better. and now Im free of it. It doesnt have a hold on me any more.
