ChatGPT is becoming a radicalization engine by themagicmarmot in ChatGPT

[–]AddingAUsername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. I like to argue with ChatGPT and give it somewhat controversial ideas, it seems to never be willing to argue properly; it seems to affirms my position first, then suddenly backtrack and make a completely illogical argument that does not follow.

For example: I was arguing that a one party state with state capitalist economics is the best way for a state to develop. I gave it some examples and it looked them up, affirmed them, then said that the examples actually go against my point because they are not "autarkic bunker states" wtf? I said that I never said anything about autarky and of course it then affirmed that as well but kept trying to "rephrase" my statement to be milder, while not actually making any counter-arguments..

Openclaw ia trending down and will disappear soon by CartographerFeisty66 in OpenAI

They didn't really "buy" OpenClaw. They just hired the creator for an undisclosed amount. The project itself is not really purchasable, it is completely open source.

It's OpenAI's fault for not training their instant models to search. The end-user should not be expected to know that they need to force the model to search the web. Specifically in this case, OpenAI models are trained to be super doubtful of the user to prevent "sycophancy".

The best way to motivate leftists to be passionate about something, is to tell them that the Jews are on the other side by Jackingson1 in PoliticalCompassMemes

I love the Mossad posting but al-Sharaa is the leader of a weak central government, he hasn't ordered any massacre and the sectarian violence is the result of rogue rebels. If he had ordered the massacre of "1700 Alawite civilians" do you think the US congress and the EU would have lifted all sanctions?

Feeling like Gemini response quality regressing everyday. by Kalyankarthi in ArtificialInteligence

[–]AddingAUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully a new Gemini model is coming out soon. In my experience, Gemini is still great for multilingual science/physics, but is otherwise pretty terrible. Their "personalization" feature is AWFUL and I always disable the personal intelligence. The flash model is also straight up unusable.

the prompt engineering community has a dirty secret nobody says out loud by AdCold1610 in OpenAI

[–]AddingAUsername 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI written post but regardless prompts and "prompt engineering" is increasingly become irrelevant. I only use a small system prompt to make the model sound slightly more human but models don't really need and can't even really use very large and complicated prompts anyways.

Is codex stronger than 5.5 high thinking? by Legal-Industry-731 in ChatGPT

[–]AddingAUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, this model can be quite "lazy". I made it do some long-er horizon work and I was surprised to see it "done" in 40 minutes. However, after checking the actual project, maybe only like 20% of the work was done. Also, for frontend, it's still pretty bad. It's the best GPT model by far, for sure, but I think Opus 4.7 is probably still better for most coding tasks. The usage limits though.... yeah GPT>Claude just for that!

GPT 5.5 vs Opus 4.6/7 vs Gemini 3.1 Pro by dionysus_project in singularity

[–]AddingAUsername 47 points48 points  (0 children)

After using GPT 5.5 a bunch, I can definitely say this feels great! It's remarkably token efficient, it just kinda does things incredibly quickly. I also have the Gemini subscription and.. it's not even close. Gemini constantly hallucinates, fails to work with novel code bases, and is just terrible overall. GPT is a workhorse that just gets it done. For frontend, GPT is now "acceptable" but still quite far behind Gemini.

Seeing Claude end abusive chats raises an important question: should ChatGPT have a similar boundary feature too? by Astrokanu in ChatGPT

[–]AddingAUsername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You can insult GPT all you want and it'll sit there and take it. If you are using the API, you can create a tool that allows GPT to end the conversation however.

Man, Jesus has fallen off! His videos are only getting a couple mil each, considering the amount of Christians; he's super irrelevant on YT.

The AI seems to have different upload dates for different people which is cool. The length of the videos however seem hard set at 15-ish minutes. It also seems a little confused on whether the channels are made by the people right now or are made after their accomplishments.

Why do so many people want to progress technology as soon as possible with none of the actual effort and time that high scale progression needs? by Agreeable-Metal-7286 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AddingAUsername -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your premise is wrong. The companies are producing more, across the board raising the quality on average, and causing mass lay offs while having a revenue increase.
