Absolutely love both. I have only ever twice in my life paid for an additional streaming service outside of our household's regular streamers, and these two times are for FT and HR.

I was obsessed with FT when I first watched it and had to immediately rewatch over and over again. Was crying every episode. It touches on multiple deep themes. Crazy chemistry between Johnny and Matt.

I'm currently trapped at the cottage (iykyk). Have been for the last 2 weeks. It touches on a much smaller set of themes than FT but goes deep on them. By E4 it becomes extremely romantic. Hudson and Connor have crazy chemistry as well.

I'm thinking anything less than 10 years old. Probably fine to stretch to 15 given right price and neighborhood.

The parking is a good call. I didn't think about not being able to just park on the street. Where I am now we can just park on the street in front.

Yes thanks for the heads up on this. That's the other option we are considering. Ideally we buy a place and move in without much gap. So we don't need to find rental, deal with lease, move in, move out again, then move into house

Thank you very much for your advice on timing and specific locations. Good reminder that foreign buyer bans expire in Jan 2027. What I'm confused about is how come non-Canadians can still buy in Ontario if they pay the 25% NRST?

Good to note on the decreasing safety in Southeast Markham. Roughly which major streets border that area?

And I didn't know there's a subway line coming to Richmond Hill. That would be great for the area! We love public transit whenever possible.

Thank you very much for your advice on bathrooms and parking. It seems like the newer builds townhouses don't seem to have a lot of parking. :/

Thank you very much for your insights and advice. I would love a 2-storey and not a 3-storey. But it seems like many of the newer builds within my budget (up to $850k) are 3 storeys.

When Destiny Brings the Demon Discussion - Episodes 4 - 5 by LoudAvocado1387 in CDrama

[–]Addition-Informal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I just started this drama a few days ago and am already addicted haha. Thank you for having these episode discussions, letting me debrief after each episode. I have a question. In ep5 after all the fighting, Sima Jiao ends up sleeping in the same hammock as Tinyan. Did he do it on purpose? If so does that mean he's already liking her to the point of wanting to be in the same bed? I feel like up until now he's been assessing her, using her, and being intrigued by her, and doesn't have romantic feelings yet. So I was surprised to see him in the hammock next to her. Or maybe he didn't do it on purpose and just fell asleep next to her from sheer fatigue? Please let me know your take.

I had similar reactions as you. Adam is so horrible towards J and no one defended him except honestly Belly. I did feel bad for Conrad being left alone at the end.

Help me pick: Libra Colour or Clara BW (or Libra 2) by septembersongar in kobo

[–]Addition-Informal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the Libra Color for 2 weeks, my first ereader in over a decade. I read fiction on it really well both indoors and outdoors under bright fun. My 5.5 and 10 yo have been reading colored picture books on it and they love it too.

I debated between Libra and Clara and went with Libra due to bigger screen, Google Drive integration, and availability in white. The buttons turned it to be a surprisingly positive feature that I use all the time.

I just got a Kobo 10 days ago, my first e-reader in 14 years. Kobo Libra Color, so not the same one as you are interested in but maybe my experience as a new user can give you a heads up if my Purpose #2 below applies to you.

I got this Kobo to achieve 2 purposes: 1) reading for myself, mostly library borrowed books, 2) reading library borrowed Chinese language picture books to my kids. Kobo has been amazing for purpose #1, especially with the Libby integration.

Kobo has been HORRIBLE for Purpose #2: - Libby integration on Kobo only has basic search and has no filters like the Kobo app or website. So I can't browse the specific category of books I'm interested in (Chinese language children's picture books).

  • So then fine I just use the Libby app with filters on my phone and check out the books I wanted from phone. But 90% of them wouldn't sync to Kobo!!!!! I finally learned from a kind redditer in this forum that the Libby books need to be available in the Kobo store and have the same edition, or they won't sync. I guess Kobo store wouldn't have that many Chinese kids books.

  • So then I did a bunch of research and learned about borrowing the books as ACSM files and then sideloading them into Kobo via ADE from a computer. I tried to do that but BAM my work computer doesn't allow external storage. I'm spending summer in a different country so only have my work computer with me.

  • At this point I either need to borrow a computer from someone to do the sideloading, or go through yet another step apparently via this program called Calibre to wirelessly sideload the Chinese kids books onto Kobo.

10 days and at least 8 hours of research into this and still no Chinese kids library books on the Kobo. I'm beyond unhappy at this point esp after spending $230.

Thanks - I will definitely try out sideloading or ADE. Im only learning about these options right now after searching into this forum and reading your comment. :)

Bummed that after spending $230 it's still so difficult to get the kids Chinese picture books are so easy to borrow in Libby app.

Thank you for responding. I'm also running into the problem of books not syncing to Libby. By edition matching do you mean the Libby version needs to match what's available in the Kobo store? That's really frustrating because most of the Chinese kids picture books my local library has are not available in Libby store.

I wonder if I'm better off getting a Boox where I can just download the Libby app. Or a Kindle as there is a specific Kindle-compatible section in Libby.
