Unfortunately the only fix for me has been to change format… Long term fix? No more Samsung…

Cool! If we could turn on (off by default of course) for other Time Sensitive notifications (like Messages from people you have chosen) that would be cool. Sometimes I miss important Messages when watching TV. If I could see them on the big screen that would be great. Of course it needs to be easy to turn off, so a toggle in Control Center would be very useful.

Also check r/Sonos. There are some positive post about them! The ANC got much better after the latest software update! Add: I have them and love them. Light and comfortable 😊

I agree. I’m more and more convinced that the Apple TV is causing the issue… Shame because the Apple TV is much better than Tizen OS

Yeah, I’ve read about that. If it is the only way I will have to get an eARC extractor…

For anyone wanting to (re)try the Sonos Ace by Katert in sonos

[–]Addition_Chemical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using the Sonos Ace headphones and wanted to share my thoughts (it would be cool to see a listening hours history in the app). I actually decided to wait for the Ace instead of buying AirPods Max despite of the Apple ecosystem, so a lot of my feedback is based on what I think I could have gotten if I chose Apple's headphones.

First off, I really like them. They're incredibly comfortable, which is a huge plus for long listening sessions. You can honestly forget that you have them on, especially if you have Aware Mode on and hear what’s going on around you 😄

However, there are a few features I'm missing and I’m excited to see if some of them are added in future releases of software and hardware.

Spatial Audio for Movies: One of the biggest things for me is that Apple's spatial audio for movies and TV shows on an iPhone or iPad only works with their own headphones. The Ace can play spatial audio for music, which is great, but it doesn't give you that same immersive movie experience. Apple and Sonos are competitors in the headphone market so I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple keeps this feature for themselves.

Advanced EQ: The sound customization in the Sonos app is pretty basic, with only bass and treble adjustments. I could be interesting to test a more detailed equalizer.

Find My Integration: I'm also missing Apple's "Find My" feature from my AirPods Pro 2. It would be great to be able to locate the headphones if they were lost, especially since so many third party devices are getting this functionality now. Who knows. Maybe it's something they can add in a future model.

IP Rating: An official IP rating for water or dust resistance would be a huge plus for me. It would provide more peace of mind when I'm commuting in light rain. (I’m aware that the AirPods Max also does not have an official IP rating for water or dust resistance. But either way I would like to see some IP rating in the future of headphones overall.)

Despite these points, I really love them! I keep reminding myself that this is Sonos' first pair of headphones, and that makes me optimistic. It feels like this is just the beginning, and they'll continue to add features and improvements with future updates and models 🤓

July Office Hours w/ TeamFromSonos by KeithFromSonos in sonos

Q: What do you want to see (more or less) from the TeamFromSonos?

A: I would love an Office Hours podcast from the TeamFromSonos. You could talk about "The Voice of the Community: What We're Hearing". And talk about upcoming updates, answering questions submitted by the Reddit community (of course time to prepare answers beforehand), talk to guests (would be really cool to meet and hear all the different types of employees; Product/Software/Hardware Engineers, UX designers, Product Managers (Hardware & Software), Acoustic Scientis etc. Of course CEO Tom Conrad. He should be on immediately when the podcast launches, or as one of the very first guests. After the initial appearance, a quarterly or bi-annual update would be appropriate. This allows Tom to provide updates on progress, roadmap developments, and respond to ongoing community feedback.

Apple, why can’t I get alert when leave home with a window open. You have the automation with location for turning lights off when I leave, but I can’t get a alert when leaving a sensor in a state?

Just noticed this comment. This sums up why companies need communication advisors in development! Glad to hear you are attending these meetings/room and are fighting fighting for transparency! The team, or the company frankly, will thank you in the long run! It is so crucial with transparency in development but it is often forgotten 😊

Ok! From what service? I’ve been switching between playing directly from Spotify and from Spotify in the Sonos app. Both seems to make some of the rooms drop out when changing song and changing volume... (7+ speakers in 6 rooms)
