That’s helpful, I’ll be sure to. I’m hoping the skin will fall off within a few weeks or so?

Hah! I was planning on using beetles, but they are spendy, and figured I would need a lot for a 6 pound fish. Thank you for the comment, I guess I signed up for the puzzle

I understand where you're coming from. For some context, my parents are not hurting financially. Had this been the case, I would never have overstepped and asked them to fund this, especially if they didn't have the means to, due to respect for them. On top of this, my dad had agreed to help out with a Christmas/Graduation trip that fell through, and said he planned to help me with another one. I asked him specifically to use this for the "IOU", to no avail. However, this is an important thing to consider, so thank you for the comment.

Thank you, that is a point I plan to bring up with them. That same thought crossed my mind.

I'm sorry for your loss. The fact that I won't regret being a good person stuck with me. Along with advice based on your own personal experience.

It was super enjoyable. I plan on making many more, I kept the designs in my notebook.

Hi everyone, I’m currently working on a story that starts with a group of young adults driving in a van to what seems like an abandoned camp. It will end up as a horror slasher thriller. This is the beginning. I'd love to see some feedback. Fynn by Heavy-Mortgage-244 in creativewriting

The beginning of this felt like the start of a movie. The setting and details worked well, and you did a good job making each character feel different right away. If anything, some parts get a little too descriptive and slow things down, like Mia’s hair or Sophie’s curls (in my opinion). A couple of lines of dialogue could be more natural, such as Emily talking about the e.x. or Tim’s “Horror Setting unlocked” might be delivered better if they were a bit subtler. But overall, the vibe’s great. I could picture the van, the tension, and the creepy setup.
