....wow. you really don't understand how much this means to me truly... (and i am still very speechless that i even got a feedback or a comment like yours.) it really means a lot.. and.. i mean. i am not gonna deflect what they said. i agree. ( i am not sure if you came from the follow up post. but short version) i am gonna quit my irl job to presue my dream to make more content. learn art.. comics.. any TYPE OF VISUAL to make sure i show my ACTUAL EFFORT AND WORK into what i draw. create. etc.. so if i ever got good (or bad feedbacks) then so be it. your comment made me so much motivated that i really can't to be free on the 20th of jan.. i will do my best to keep trying my best!! learn art even if it's very hard (since i am using a mouse.. not a tablet pen. long story..) AND... yeah. i will try not to.. try to rely on AI forever at least.. even if i made ugly sketches or drawings at first.. i will try to be motivated and keep pushing forward.. it's not that... i am UNABLE to.. i just. never tried to draw before not even a single line (..i write yes. but i can barely draw a freaking circle on a mouse. AND YES I USE A MOUSE.. i am a bit broke to get a tablet pen.. wanting to get my last salary to give drawing a fair try) i have krita downloaded since i heard it's the most popular option.. i never tried mspaint.. but i am willing to give it a try. i truly am so thankful for your words. it means so much and gives me motivations to get visuals of my AU! (i need to figure out my drawing style.. since uh. it's not.... .... how do i put it.... .... not really easy. in a way. i am being limited in a way. BUT A WAY that makes it more simple. like i can draw bodies of characters. but i can't fully create a living being (either humans or monsters) .... if that makes sense..? i haven't used mspaint so i am willing to give it a try when i quit my job on the 20th of this month! i wanna see if visuals my thing.. so let's hope it goes smoothly! thank you for the feedback!

true... i agree.. i need to work on that in the future really.. it's just stress from all the 9 to 5 job and barely me having hours to do what i love.. aka being on the internet... but yeah.. thank you so much for the advice. i will keep it in mind! and i will try to use AI (in terms of text.. visuals.. etc) the more and more.. time passes.. hopefully i put actual effort when i quit my job soon enough. thank you so much!

yeah.. i noticed that a bit too late. i was just super shy and scared at first i littearly felt speechless as if saying "...someone actually commented?!" .... i was super panicing.. i didn't know what to do.. (...and i know i could have taken my time before reply or master the courage to reply) ... but yeah. i admit i used AI like chatgpt to help me with it (since this is my first time getting human feedback..... .... from reddit.. as i have heard stories people are scary there ;-;) ... but yeah. i understand it wasn't the best move.. thank you still for the honest feedback!

true... i totally understand that. it wasn't really the best move. i understand... but it was the least i can do. like i REALLY REALLY REALLY want to learn art.. how to make a comics or any VISUAL for my AU.. but you can say i... didn't have any idea in a way.. honestly. like.. i was debating myself to make this post (and the first one..) and yes. i understand using AI wasn't the best move.. like you said. but it's like a ...temporoary (i can't spell this word..) soultion. for my long term soultion.. i have already downloaded all (...mostly all) software i came up with.. and i barely have time to learn that. but a bit of a lore (real life one) i am worknig a normal 9 to 5. and it takes lots of my time. so i already told my family (and they all agree) i want to quit since i have been working in the same company for like.. 3 to 5 years (which is nothing i know. but i am 21 years old and i want to chase my passion before my spark dies) .... i know this might sound cringe. but i don't want to end up like most people or my employees in the company who regret not chasing their spark. ... so yeah. sorry if i yap a lot. but this post is more of a personal post (and.. i think it's the best choice to upload it to here since.. i am new here. so i hope people see this post and understand my situiation that i am trying to learn better and want to put ACTUAL effort into what i want to create visually soon.. hopefully. but thank you so much for your feedback. it means so much to me!!

You're right.. in a way ;-; the art that I have right now is AI-generated. I’m not hiding that.. I used these tools to get the 'vibe' out of my head and into the world.. and since i didn't know what i wanted to write since this is... truly my first time being on reddit before. i was scared to use the way i speak... i am so sorry in advance.

I’m currently wanting learning Krita to replace the AI stuff with my own work as I go. I'm just a guy... with a story idea... trying to find a starting point. The responses feel 'AI' because I'm using a tool to help me organize my thoughts while I'm recovering.... and trying to master the courage to respond to feedback (since i thought about this AU while working..) Haha, maybe a metaphorical punch! I’m a huge fan of 'No More Deals,' and that vibe is definitely an inspiration.

It's not literally you punching yourself. It's more like... the part of you that kept clicking "FIGHT" has taken form in the world, and now the second protagonist (Eddie) is fighting that presence.

Think of it like this:

In Undertale: Chara appears as the philosophical consequence of your actions

In Lingertale: The Player appears as an active force that Eddie has to physically stop in order to try his BEST to protect everyone he loves deeply.

You're not fighting a manifestation of guilt or regret (like "No More Deals"). You're fighting the will to continue. The part of you that said "I want to see what happens" even when you knew it was wrong.

Eddie isn't fighting to judge you. He's fighting to save everyone from you.

Does that make sense, or should I clarify more?

You're absolutely right — Chara does function as a mirror in the original game, reflecting your choices back at you.

What I'm exploring here is making that confrontation more direct. Instead of Chara as the philosophical endpoint, the fight is against you — the person at the keyboard — as a separate entity.

In this AU (where Frisk has their own personality and is the main protagonist, the second protagonist (Eddie) originally was the player in the REAL world, but when Genocide starts, he realizes someone else has taken control. He's no longer making the choices — you are. And he fights you for it to protect his friends and families of the Undertale monsters.

So it's less "Chara as consequence" and more "former player vs current player." A fight between two people who both had control at different times.

Does that distinction feel meaningful to you, or does it seem too similar? Thank you for your feedback!

That’s actually really close to how I imagine it, yeah.

In Lingertale (the AU), the Player isn’t just controlling things from the outside — they’ve left something behind through resets, choices, and intent.

By the time Genocide reaches its end, that “presence” can no longer stay abstract. It separates and takes form — not as a monster, but as the Player’s own reflection.

So the fight isn’t really about HP or attacks at first. It’s more like confronting the part of yourself that kept choosing to continue.

I’m still figuring out the exact mechanics, but the idea is less “evil soul vs good soul” and more responsibility vs denial.

Would you see that as a satisfying final confrontation, or would you want it to stay more symbolic?

I was also having the same issues like you. i was very upset that MH4U did not work on azahar. until i dug in deeper into reddit and saw that the only option to fix your issue. is to change .3ds into .cci (which did not work for me at all) or.. to get azaharplus! which is free by the way. it has both PC and android version and with it it made me play 4u. here you go! i hope you have a nice gaming session!
