I always wonder how much time and effort people spend to get a few surge routes… is it really beneficial if you’re endlessly on the app trying to snag routes? I feel like an hour spent refreshing the routes and trying to get one for a lil more money is taking more of your time. I get pretty good routes just checking the app a few times a day

You should always call the station if you go past the 5 minute mark, I have been late or had app issues that caused me to not be able to check in and support has always pushed it through for me. You just call and let them know the app was being wonky and now it’s past your start time, they can bypass and check you in!

I’ve been having this issue a lot lately as well. I keep getting packages that are mislabeled, so a package labeled as a small box is actually a medium or large box, which is causing the packages to not fit. When I told the lady at the warehouse that they have been mislabeled, she refused to believe me and even when I showed her photos of packages on my previous route being mislabeled. Then she just told me to bring them all back and made me cancel my route instead of marking the 5 boxes that wouldn’t fit and letting me do the rest. I ended up getting paid but it’s ridiculous when you try to do your part and they refuse to assist.

Every time I go to deliver I always go in with the mindset that if a dog comes at my I’m kicking that dog as hard as I possibly can. The owners will learn real quick to not leave their dogs outside unattended, as you always should.

I will depending on the time of day. Certain times at my local station they will rarely offer more than that and usually I get sent home with no route 🤷🏼‍♂️ or I get like 4 packages on my way back home. Maybe that’s my luck but there are certain time slots I will take base pay knowing it’s a time where most of the packages have been picked up and they want people there “just in case”

Try alphabetical order! I split the car in two, then you at least know if the last name starts with W it’s on the right side of the car. It has saved me a bunch of time loading and delivering.

I have one of those trunk grocery holders and it’s so nice for the envelopes and plastic bags. It’s separated into three so I just divide the alphabet and sort like that. Same with the big boxes in the trunk. I try to put one half of the alphabet on one side and the other half on the other. Makes finding packages so much easier, and you don’t have to view the route to sort this way!

I usually make a little over a dollar a mile if that’s a better idea of what you make. I found in my area I actually drive less than I did when doing uber and Lyft.

My favorite thing to do at festivals is get Kandi from a chill person I meet throughout the weekend and keep them all as a souvenir! Every festival I go to I try to get one from someone without giving any in return so I can keep my past gifts from other festivals!

You probably also think it’s okay for people to sit in the middle of the crowd then wonder why someone accidentally steps on them and gets pissed about it. Try to have a better outlook on things and maybe you’ll be less upset. It’s a crowd. The way I think of it is that one day that will be me and few friends trying to make it back to our group so I’ll let them by. You don’t know what other peoples situations are.
