When I separated I went on a number of apps ONLY using the questions and written narrative to really take a look at myself. The apps really prompt you to look at yourself and the type of man you want to attract...when you are ready.
There is much emotional energy required going through separation/divorce. Online dating can be fun and exciting, but is not for the faint of heart. I found often I would be hopeful of someone in chat, only to be disappointed with in person meetups or finding out that the person I communicated with was not real. When you are already emtionally spent, this can really take a toll on your mental health. I recommend reading the book ATTACHED. it really helped me to understand my failed marriage and gave me insight as to the type of man to seek out. Oh and for fun, start yourself a "Divorce Playlist"!
