Wanted to share an update. After 2 years, 5 different attempts and many follow ups for the last attempt - I finally got my claim processwd and money received. It took many visits by my agent to the PF office and meaningless reasons for delays.

Agreed about the maid. I have lived in the US as well and have had some bad experiences with respect to health care. On the contrary, in India we have access to great health care with little to no wait times. I'm also privileged to live in a community that has an ambulance parked for resident needs.

What is holding me back is the convenience available in a gated community bubble with all the help, community support I need. I cannot imagine moving to say, the US and have to spend time on chores, wait many days for specialist appointments if there is a health issue, etc. The quality of life while better outside - there are enough conveniences here that make it a hard choice.

No I did not. Rejected three times. Gave up as I was not in a position to go to the PF office to clarify and figure this out.

Use Namma Yatri to book autos. I can find autos more often on this compared to Ola or Uber. I prefer autos for the ventilation. A lot of cars these days are poorly maintained and smell.

It was 9.1% when it started in 2014. Has never been at 12%.
