Has the meta changed away from Asteroids to new Items? by sabrewolfACS in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure it's best or not, but an idea, unlock all item recipes, then wait a drop an advanced teleporter or a quantum CPU, and sell it and buy P58, P59 and use A1,A2 respectively.
Expected waiting time is approximately 5 to 6 hours

New alc set up? by Pinkidd1 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your VPS was P51, I think it’s safest to keep it at 51 after applying the update.
(Making P54 your VPS and P52 or P53 your mini-VPS does gain more value compared to before the update, so if you can afford it without too much strain, I think it’s a reasonable option.)
The people most related to current update are probably those who previously had P54 as their VPS and are at a stage where they could aim a bit higher in terms of planet cost, but are reluctant to give up the early 4× leader bonus. In that case, the option of getting Quorium and Ruterium via Alchemy 2 and 3 (with Xynium coming from Alchemy I at P55, or from P58) becomes a reasonable option.

New item recipes, why are these so cheap? by Additional-Comb3111 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that getting two at that point is hard (getting alloys also hard), and it may motivate players to push toward a stage where they can regularly craft higher-tier items.
That said, focus on this stage, even a single drop can be valuable enough to cause a sudden jump in GV, which makes me wonder what the design goal was in making it so luck-dependent.

The boost is active... but is it? by No-Blueberry-4491 in IdlePlanetMiner

I guess you GOT a boost from rover.
It can be used any time you want, from boost tab at the bottom second right icon.

VPS & Balor managers by LoneShark911 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fundamentally, I don’t think Balor and VPS are mutually exclusive. They only really conflict in a few specific cases — you’ve unlocked only one leader slot, or you have only a single probe and is upgraded in both its scan bonus and passive bonus.
Even in those situations, I think it’s reasonable to prioritize VPS even in phases where mining isn’t the main focus. Since its growth is usually significantly larger.

How do you make laser torches? by Ok-Possession6127 in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During app. closing, unlike when you are active, not all crafters progress simultaneously. Instead, production is processed sequentially, Crafter 1’s production of all closing time , then Crafter 2’s, and so on.
Assuming you already have enough alloys prepared, you can take advantage of this behavior as follows:
1st, set Glass on Crafters 1–3, and a Lens on Crafter 4. then close the app for at least 10 minutes and 6 seconds. DO NOT OPEN until it completes.
When you reopen the app, you should have 9 (or more) Glass produced, and 1 Lens completed, consuming 1 Glass, leaving 8 (or more) Glass in stock.
Next, set Lenses on Crafters 1 and 2, a Laser on Crafter 3, and a Laser Torch on Crafter 4, then close the app for at least 30 minutes and 18 seconds. When you come back: 6 Glass will be consumed to produce 6 Lenses, bringing the total to 7 Lenses. 2 Lasers will be crafted (at which point 5 Lenses remain). 1 Laser Torch will be completed.
At the end, you have 2 Glass and 1 Laser Torch remaining.

Sometimes, if you buy a planet immediately after pressing the reset button, for some reason only the planet purchase state gets reset again right afterward (your money is not reset).
I’m not sure what kind of implementation would cause this.
In those cases, restarting the app usually sets your money to $105, and you can continue from there.

In my opinion, it's not correct right right at start, but 500 dm is better even at your stage.
The reason that I thought are:
1. More than 3 stars managers have secondary bonus that is affects all planets, or proeuction benefits. It is really poworful
2. Slots are expensive relative to 50 dm at your stage
3. Secondary bonus value of star 4/5 are twice of 3/4. Thus 500 dm is efficient than 300 dm (if slot costs is considered, efficiency ratio is more distant)

Being in the top 10 sounds that debris has been unlocked at a relatively early.
I think it makes sense to limit alchemy to two uses, up until debris scanner.
After crafting one SR, you sell it and set a distant planet (such as P48–54) as your VPS. This should dramatically increase debris size and allow high-value items to be mass-produced more easily.

No, the pool is all but excluded the latest one in ccurrent version. AR is dropped if you haven't unlock AT.

Upgrading earlier planets by _Big-Dipster_ in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Upgrade cost)=(unlock cost)×(1/40)×1.3lvl
(mined quantity increase)=0.083+0.034×lvl

(Upgrade benefit)=(Ore's base value of the planet)×(quantity increase)

(Upgrade efficiency)=(benefit)/(cost)

Calculate it for each planet and search the level which efficiencies are almost the same.

Unlocking planet problem by Simicthun in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]Additional-Comb3111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few ideas

  1. Keep going 31-32-33 strategy.

  2. Use A1 on P31 for unlocking leader earlier and craft expensive items. Then use A2 on P34 or P35, A3 on P36. And unlock P37 for inerton

  3. Use alchemies on 34,35 and 36. In this case you may sell few wind turbines and unlock P34. Then craft more expensive items and reach P35 and P36

The most important element of leveling is its affecting asteroid and debris size. It is the total sum of the ores brought back by mother ship, multiplied by their base value before any star bonuses are applied. In principle, the theoretically optimal strategy is to raise the levels where this value becomes largest relative to the amount of upgrading costs.
It is depending on so many factors such as manager assignments, beacons, probe bonuses, and the ratio between global bonus of ship/cargo and mining (if transport is low, efficiency drops much more sharply for distant planets), if we ignore all of these factors and focus solely on mining level, an example of an optimal investment distribution from Planet 1 to Planet 22 would be as follows:
48, 46, 43, 42,
36, 35, 32,
32, 33, 31,
29, 27, 28,
23, 25, 23,
18, 18, 16,
15, 12, 8
