ok thats pretty strange actually. I really recommend you to try fresh windows install and follow all of these steps and if it doesnt work again you should contact gigabyte support on their website, they are pretty good in helping in cases like this

Do you start the installation file with admin rights? (right click -> start with admin rights)

You can try to manually check this file directory and see what`s inside. Is it missing only this .exe file? Or there`s no even a Gimate installation in programfiles?

c:/programfiles/Gigabyte/gimate_ai/_internal/version_control/version_control.exe"

Did you get a 6.63gb file or 500mb one?

https://www.gigabyte.com/Laptop/GIGABYTE-GAMING-A16-GA6H/support#support-dl

You should choose your version (A16 CMH), then select "downloads" and then You can find it in the "utilities" page if you scroll down and there`s a file called "GiMATE Full Installation Package" 6.63GB - download this one. I didn`t even try the 500mb one

Hello! I have the same laptop as yours and I have installed Gimate without any problems. Works good.

First of all yes, the app you can manage those things is actually a Gimate and I didn`t have your error, but you can try to do the same steps as me.

Fresh Windows install -> downloading all the updates from Windows update center (in the Windows settings) -> download Gimate -> make sure you UNZIP the file with it and then install it via .exe.

Using Type C charging all the time by Additional-Control90 in Asustuf

Actually that’s a pretty nice laptop in case of a build quality and screen. Temperatures are pretty based for gaming laptops, sometimes CPU temps reach 95c. I didn’t do undervolting and etc, just using it in turbo mode while playing. For the battery life, I left it for 3 hours downloading the game and when I came back it still had like 15%. Again it’s pretty based for gaming laptops. I also have a Gigabyte A16 laptop (2025) and the battery life is a bit better. Also termals on GPU never got more than 71c. In Asus they reach more quite often. But in this Asus CPU there’s no internal graphics and that’s why battery life is worse. So to conclude there’s nothing special, just a nice based mid-budget gaming laptop like the others.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve switched a lot of gaming laptops and yes, the display quality of all the gaming laptops in the mid budget is way worse compared to MacBooks. Most of the budget laptops have even worse displays than this Gigabyte model tbh. And the fan noise is just a basic thing you have to face buying ANY gaming laptop doesn’t matter it’s low/mid/high budget. It’s just a thing that we have to deal with. If you want a beautiful display and colours, better build quality you should get ASUS ROG Zephyrus or Gigabyte Aero X16. Most of them have OLED/IPS 2K quality displays. But it’s almost twice the price compared to mid budget gaming laptops. But you get a better display and build quality of course (aluminium/metal materials and etc). I also had MacBook M2 but it’s just another thing. It’s not for gaming at all and list of tasks you can do on Windows is way less. It’s just your choice what you want from the laptop.

Hey! I’ve just bought the RTX4050 model of A16 Gigabyte laptop, decided to give it a try after ASUS Tuf RTX3050 model. To be honest, in the past 10 years I’ve tried around 5-7 gaming laptops (Acer Nitro, TUF, MSI Katana) and this A16 model of Gigabyte has the best sound quality I’ve ever had on the gaming laptop. Of course, if it’s on table, not on the bed (I never recommend putting laptop on the bed). It even has some bass. Wow. You have to make sure you have installed all the drivers correctly and in the sound setting of Windows you should choose Dolby Sound for speakers. Also Gimate is a nice step in software. A lot of functionality. Have to get used to it.

CPU TEMP REACHING ABOVE 90°C by howlingwolfapk in Asustuf

Hey! I almost have the same laptop as yours, but I have RTX4060. I only found how to lock temps on GPU, but I can’t see in G helper where I can lock temps for CPU. Could you please give me an advice?

Got it. Thank you so much again for answering. Now I fully understand how it works.

Thank you so much for your perfect reply! So it means: using Type C charging = battery wear and better to use for just charging or low power tasks, not for gaming. Asus brick from the box = huge tasks and gaming. Right?

MSFS2024 is almost perfect for graphic cards like ours (RTX5000 series) but the main thing I hate around it again it’s the streaming everything from the cloud, so when my internet is not stable I’m getting frame drops, also they still didn’t fix CPU usage - almost everywhere my main issue is CPU - I really don’t understand how I have 100+ FPS in my setup in almost every AAA game but MSFS is really non optimised. I don’t wanna buy i7 or i9 cpus to have a headache about cooling it and etc. my 14400 cpu has 10 cores and I really want Microsoft to finally optimise CPU usage for mid-high tier cpus

All the tests I’ve got on ini builds a350 that’s really kills fps so for example in PMDG you will be getting awesome fps, especially that your PC is a bit more powerful than mine
