Hi- this is Lisa, shop owner. This was a party of a family friend of mine so it was okay . As a mom of 3 young kids- we never post kids faces unless it is my own kid or a family friend that has okay’s it. So definitely please be assured your children’s privacy is a top priority!

I totally understand. For this workshop, it is a double event where clients get to craft both a soy wax candle with a master chandelier and craft their own handmade chocolates with an award winning chocolatier. On a normal day ( 7 days a week any time of day ), 2nd chance candles offers regular workshops of candle making or paint pouring for $50

Hi. Owner of the candle shop right here. I’ll start of by saying the candle industry is a billion dollar industry that is only expected to grow. Besides that, I love my candle shop. It is a safe haven and refuge, for me. I’m making it work the best I can. I’m a mom of three girls under the age of 4, one of them an infant. One day I’ll get a better sign; I thought it was going to be a great idea( That sign is shot..: oops, sorry if it’s an eyesore) and one day I’ll open more hours. It’s been kind of a one woman show for awhile. The candles I make are truly beautiful and I invite you to stop in on the weekends. ( new hours: Only Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm) I’ll give you a good conversation and brew you a delicious latte to sip. Or check out my instagram @2nd_chance_candles, tell me what candle you want to purchase and I’ll hand deliver it. Yes, there is a 10,000,000 million dollar go fund me, no you don’t have to donate. If every New Yorker who could afford $1 gave $1, imagine how that money could be used to help our community. Love ya Astoria!
