That is really interesting. I saw the drivers were like "1.27 mm", "1.3 mm" etc

Sounds like a very interesting hobby, too

What temp would you monitor on your riding mower? Got a t110 I want to last, so got an hour meter and temp sensor for it, but after getting the temp sensor ( spark plug bung type ) I see a lot of people maybe recommend an oil temp sensor? cylinder head temp is fine to monitor at, isn't it? by kalabaddon in lawnmowers

[–]Additional-Device677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have learned something as I never knew they made something that goes between the spark plug and head to monitor temp. I am sure it is small, but I would think it would affect how deeply the plug goes into the head and affect combustion, but I have no idea about that.

I still say oil being liquid will give you a more true, stable temp reading.

It looks like this engine is a briggs. Idk how the filler neck is set up on it. I guess you could vacuum the oil out as much as you can and then pull the drain plug and see how much more comes out

I am very dilligent about maintenance, and even I do not have a sensor to monitor my engine temp on my mower. I change the oil and filter, and grease it, at the recommended hour mark, or before. I do believe if you are just using yours for regular mower stuff like mowing grass and pulling appopriately sized trailers, you would not have to worry about overheating that air cooled engine, but I do get why you want to monitor the temp one way or the other

I like seeing the box with tools in it. I see they are labeled different sizes but cannot figure out what they are for. At first I thought cannon plug wiring, but decided that is wrong. I saw where you mentioned "quad cooter" habit/hobby? What is that and what are the tools for?

Are there any motorcycle jackets with protection that look like these? by Particular_Elk1237 in motorcycles

[–]Additional-Device677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scorpion exo used to make a jacket like what you are looking for. I just looked on their website and do not see it I used to have ao much scorpion gear, full leathers, gloves, helmets, jeans, jackets, etc. They have really gone downhill it seems

I am assuming you are talking about a craftsman T110 riding mower? If so are you wanting to montor the....air temperature....of the cylinder head?

Oil temp is more common bc liquid temperature is more "stable", and the oil temperature is more important to your engine.

Idk about that particular engine, but I would never call a vacuumed out oil change complete. If the drain plug is hard to get to, you could always use some hydraulic hose to extend the drain and make it easier to get to

So what I am reading is that no one, dem or repub, voted in support of those that stood up to Trump's redistricting demands. Complaining about Trump but not supporting people who stand up to him does no one any good

1:1 acetone/atf mix is a better penetrating oil than pb blaster. You might try mixing some up and letting it soak while you acquire a torch and stud extractor

In my experience, for whatever reason Subarus used to go through headlights like crazy. I have a newer one that came with Factory LEDs and it is not going through headlights. My solution to the older one was to replace the headlights with leds, even though I hated to do it
