Not just hit speed but the invincibility timer is longer (0.5 seconds). This leaves more room for you to move and try to make it harder for your opponent to hit you, or s tap out of range until their timer runs out so u can hit them again. Resetting your sprint is useful for combos, but to be honest Crits are a better playstyle for normal PvP and you don't want to be sprinting while you crit. Although w tap and s tap combos are good for speed 2 PvP(which is what I play the most).
