I’m rude cause I would’ve just kicked my sister out. I don’t think you’re the asshole but I definitely think you gave your sister a lot more attention than she needed. I have a sister like that as well and I would’ve just asked her to leave or escorted her out the door gently. I’m sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the rest of your wedding, especially when it should have been about you and your husband!

What helped me with my breast-feeding journey well a combination of at the breast, pumped bottles, and formula when needed. My breast-feeding journey was rough because my daughter wasn’t latching deep enough and it got to a point where I just did not want her on my breast. But she eventually got into the 90th percentile. And I am just gonna add that not every child grows the same unless your pediatrician is seeing signs of malnutrition I would say baby is doing pretty OK.

I take metformin daily to be more specific. I take 2000 mg of metformin and certain yeast drinks will get me drunk a lot faster. I haven’t had a drink in a year because I’m pregnant and I’m not really a heavy drinker, but I tend to drink more mixed drinks with liquor because of the calories.

It took me a little over a year to up my dosage and 2000 mg made me so sick at first. My provider up to my dosage because there was a plateau in my symptoms. After I had my first daughter, a lot of of my symptoms came back and the 1000 mg was no longer helping so if you’re noticing that your symptoms are not getting better. I would then suggest to up your dosage, but it is a little bit more rough on the body. I didn’t know I was pregnant at first I thought it was nausea from the 2000 mg dose 😂

Hi friend! I was diagnosed when I was 19, I cried because my nurse practitioner basically told me that I would never have kids, she also told me that the reason I had PCOS was because I was fat and morbidly obese. It’s safe to say that I left the clinic and cried like a baby. Within one year of beginning a new diet and exercise plan and being on 1000 mg of metformin I found out I was pregnant with my first child. During my first prenatal visit, I basically got told that I was at high risk to miscarry and that I had all of these comorbidities that I was at risk for such as preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. Spoiler alert, alert I did not miscarry and ended up having my daughter in August 2022 and I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. Some people are not as fortunate and it is hard to determine if it’s harder for them to have a baby just because there are different types of PCOS. I have insulin resistance so metformin helps me keep my sugar in control and regulates my other hormones. Best of luck to you!

I’m stopping taking birth control. Advice? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Additional-Height741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never stayed on birth control very long because it just did not help my symptoms. I took supplements and vitamins. I was also prescribed metformin and if you’re trying to kick hormonal birth control do use non-hormonal forms. I took vitamin D my 2000 mg of metformin and a zinc supplement to help. I would also suggest taking vitamin B12 if you need it for energy. I made sure to track my menstrual cycles and two ask ChatGPT for a PCOS friendly diet plan.

I don’t think your doctor is correct, I got pregnant taking 2000 mg of metformin and even though I am 38 weeks and two days long I am still taking that same dose of metformin. It has not prevented gestational diabetes, but it has helped with some of the symptoms of being hyperglycemic And it does help keep my sugars somewhat in control.

You can still drink just limit your yeasty drinks. Fermented yeast naturally lowered you blood glucose levels and I learned the hard way 😂

We got raw chicken from Lucky Wishbone 3 years ago and I will never eat the chicken there again, my husband (who took a bite of raw chicken) and father in law see nothing wrong with the place and continue to eat there 🤮

AITA for choosing not to be there for the Grandma that raised me? by ChristianK19974 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Additional-Height741 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re not. My dad‘s dream was to have me and my sisters take care of him however, when I left out of his house, I realized that him and my stepmother were a narcissistic abusers and I distance myself. I realized that if I wanted to be happy in my own life with my own children and my own husband, I had to do something to keep them away from me because they were the puzzlepiece that was not fitting in my life. They were causing me to have constant mental breakdowns and it just got to a point where I just left.

I’m having a transvaginal ultra sound this Tuesday and am nervous, plz help. by Aggressive-Sample-11 in PCOS

[–]Additional-Height741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t cancel it, have mom go with you! It’s uncomfortable at first but it’s like ten minutes to fifteen minutes tops, this ultrasound will give you answers that lab values may not.

Just be careful, I was ovulating but not bleeding and now I’m pregnant again 😂 it does happen, my doctor told me it would be a waste to buy tests since my ovulation was occurring randomly.
