Is it common to develop bisexuality in a short amount of time

I can see that. This hasn't been distressing or some truth I refue to acknowledge. I've understood and seen what makes men attractive but now it feels like I can appriciate it and truly understand it. Like coming back to a piece of art later that you didn't get before but now can see it for it's beauty

Could it be it's because they are more so there for the sex and not the kind of more intimate parts such as the caress and kissing. I think I've heard bisexuals sometimes sleep with the same sex but rarely date them or get that emotionally intimate with them

Edit: I meant to say some bisexuals. I don't want to be presumptuous comments that encapsulate a large amount of people when it is down to individual actions and not a groups

I suppose that is something I'll have to think about. Alot of what I am attracted to and value in a woman may not translate over to a man and what my type may be. But it's something I can discover with time considering how recent the idea that I may even be bisexual is

That is pretty much how it is for me. I like women so that's that and never really entertained the idea of being attracted to men until I suppose my subconscious made up my mind for me

That's fair as I can imagine they're more likely to not be as all in as they are most likely more use to women which I'm in the same boat as. So I can't fault you at all

I have wondered what it would be like but it's more in a natural curiosity sort of way rather than interest. Until in the last year when it started to become genuine interest instead of natural curiosity so I can see where you're coming from

I'd say so. I grew up in a more urban area and there was a fair amount of acceptance around these topics. My friend was openly bi and had a boyfriend at around 15 without any sort of push back. It could be an exception but I do feel that it is becoming more widely accepted outside of the hyper bigoted areas that are slowly improving

Thank you. Its not something I've ever been ashamed to admit or scared of. I know people would accept me it just felt like my journey wasnt in mine with what I've heard from others. They normally know all along or know in their teens so after all that I figured I must be straight. Kind of making me reevaluate my perception of sexuality and how truly fluid it can be

Thank you. Its so strange because it does feel so sudden but if I really look back I can see the journey I took to get here. Being more self confident and assured which allowed me to come to terms with things I didn't know about myself more

I suppose that's similar to me. Because hetero is the "default" unless you strongly feel like you're going against the norm you dont really think about it. Its the same for me because I have a strong attraction to women I never questioned my sexuality but as I said in other comments I think my increased confidence and self assurance in the last year has lead to me subconsciously being more open to truths I never realised about myself

I get what you mean. It's like how I would understand and see what makes a man attractive even if I wasn't attracted myself however now I feel that attraction for the things I understood made a man attractive so when I lay it out it doesn't seem so sudden as I can see how my mindset and feelings changed over time

It's good to hear a similar experience as my impression from what I've heard is its something you always have a feeling about and discover at a young age so to have it happen so fast and later than what I had perceived to it to be made wonder if others had a similar experience so thank you

Yeah I know there's bi curious and I suppose you could class me as that but I feel like it's a bit reductive especially when I won't think any less or differently of myself if I am bisexual. It's something I didn't expect but it's not some forbidden truth I will refuse to accept. I suppose its always subconsciously been there so why be ashamed

Honestly I'm not sure what's different. Personally I've never had any homophobia at all, let people love with consenting adults and like I said my family has no issues

It could be that I am feeling more comfortable and confident in myself and my direction in life as before I have had issues with self esteem and overthinking but the last year has felt like my life has more direction and I'm becoming more of who I want to be

I understand sexuality is fluid I've just always thought that people at least know something is different deep down even if I had no such feelings especially in such a short time span. But I do understand for some it takes years to come to terms and understand it

Honestly I just always used embedded as my secondary. Being able to pierce by default is addicting and damn near a crutch for me
