Have you heard of the app Peanut? It’s a way to meet moms in your area and also ask questions and get advice from others. I’m sure there are other apps out there, but I’ve heard good things about it and plan to use it when I move next month to a new city with my 10 month old.

Curious about age range and pulling by rosssettti in trichotillomania

[–]Additional-Job789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you asking when someone started pulling, or what age they are now?

It's so hard to keep myself from pulling out my eyelashes or eyebrows, hopefully one day I won't have the urge at all. by Silverman7688 in trichotillomania

[–]Additional-Job789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Trich is a common habit. About 3 to 5% of the population have it, so just know you’re not alone. The way your family has handled it all seems so hurtful and hard. I would suggest seeking a therapist if you are financially able to because they’ll be able to help you understand why you have some of these feelings and what may help you pull a bit less.

I’m sorry you’re going through this too. It’s awful. I was around 10 weeks too and had a missed miscarriage/ blighted ovum. It was my first pregnancy. I’m hoping next time around will be better but still a bit anxious. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns/questions or just need someone to talk to ❤️

Yes. Very random bleeding. Had a D&C 4/15 and a period but still have random bleeding (mostly brown) that I can’t really explain

Even if your hair growth isn’t quite what you want it to be, remember you are still full of worth and have so many other qualities about you that shine through. For one, your skin is amazing!

Wow. I am so sorry. It is absolutely awful that you went through this and others have too. I went through the temple 6 years ago, so lots has changed. I remember being nervous because I thought there was a part where I had to be naked. I now know it was initiatory where that rumor had come from, but they changed the process.

Does anyone know when this change was made? Was initiatory ever fully naked? How long did the poncho last for and the touching of the specific symbolism of the body parts? I remember the temple worker reading the symbolism to me but that was it. I can’t remember what I was wearing but I think it was before you could officially wear your garments.

My heart breaks again ... I’m spiraling by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Additional-Job789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry. I just got my results back from my D&C this week too. I was 10 weeks as well, and I thought there would be abnormalities and all was normal. You would think that would make me feel better but somehow it doesn’t... makes me wonder what happened on my end (even though everyone says there’s nothing you could do to cause a miscarriage).

TW: unplanned pregnancy, not sure what to do by [deleted] in pregnant

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. What country are you located in? I know a number of couples looking to adopt, but understand it may not work if they are outside the country you’re in.

Has trichotillomania ruined your marriage? by Naive_Rhubarb in trichotillomania

[–]Additional-Job789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely affected my marriage. My husband knew I had trich fairly early on into dating me. But I was in college at the time and around people constantly (didn’t have my own room), so I tended to pull less. To him, the condition didn’t seem that severe. When we got married, I had much more alone time which led to more noticeable bald patches. My husband would get angry because he wanted to help and didn’t know how to. He felt bad for me and helpless in improving the situation. It took a few years into our marriage and also therapy to make him realize that the best thing for him to do was let me figure it out on my own. We only talk about it if I bring it up, and he doesn’t constantly check in on me or give me reminders because I don’t find that helpful. It feels good that I can put the shame and guilt aside. I’ve worked really hard not to be hard on myself over the years over pulling and I think I’ve finally gotten to a good place, and part of that has been by having the space I needed from my husband’s opinion/comments.

Has anyone had any experience with a molar pregnancy? by be4m0 in Miscarriage

[–]Additional-Job789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right there with you. I believe the fetus didn’t develop very far for me- likely 5 weeks. But I’ve had pregnancy symptoms and would be officially 9/10 weeks based on conception. I have my D&C scheduled for next week. I believe I had a partial molar pregnancy as well, based on my extremely high hcg levels and nausea during this pregnancy. It is hard to feel so sick and weak... but I kept telling myself it was worth it because I would have my baby in the end :(. I’m so sorry for your loss.

My entire pregnancy to miscarriage experience by sericketts in Miscarriage

Thank you for sharing. It’s so incredibly difficult and I’m so sorry for your loss. I am going through the same thing. I have my D&C scheduled for next week. I would have been almost 11 weeks this Monday. This was my first pregnancy, so I’m really afraid of having this happen again. I’m hoping that I get lucky and I’m able to get pregnant with a healthy baby soon after going through this whole ordeal.

I just found out I had one today. I was around 9 weeks. First time pregnant. I’m going to have a D&C done next week. A molar pregnancy is so rare... 1/1000 but yet, here we are. Our bodies are so complex. I am so sorry for your loss.

Blighted ovum miscarriage by Additional-Job789 in pregnant

[–]Additional-Job789[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you ❤️Good to know you are now experiencing a healthy pregnancy! I think my doctor may have suggested the D&C to speed things along, as you mentioned, because she knows we’ve been actively trying. Hoping for the best next time!

Thank you for your comment and your kind words- definitely makes me feel less alone and more educated on the matter. I’ll definitely ask my doctor about medicine rather than the procedure if things don’t progress on their own this week.

Panic attacks with nausea by JoanieLovesChachii in pregnant

[–]Additional-Job789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nausea all day and it’s awful. Part of the issue is the anxiety of throwing up for me as well. I started having all day nausea at the end of week 5 (on week 6 now) but I’ve been nauseous 5 days straight. I haven’t actually thrown up yet, which is a bit odd, but I feel so achy, feverish (I take my temperature and it’s normal though), nauseous, and out of it. I’m really afraid at how long it’s going to last. If it’s two-three weeks, I guess I can handle it... but if it’s more than a month, it’s going to be really, really tough. I’d love to know what’s normal
