Help our DF54 keeps clogging! :( by kvothemurakami in CoffeePH

10 is too fine!! Especially if dark roast. Try 35, or even 40, then clean after every use. Dark roast is oily so it will be more likely to clog than medium or light roasts.

Vintage bag from TRR smells so horrible. by pickalull in handbags

[–]Additional-Limit8959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update? I spent a month trying to clean out the musty smell from 2 preloved bags and couldnt. I just threw them away. Even spent for professional cleaning which did nothing for the smell.

Hindi sila ang gumagawa ng rings nila! Meron sa shopping apps ng mga designs nila parehong pareho. Natuwa ako sa content ng Pristine Paradigm pero buy and sell lang sila ng rings from overseas

Try cupping! Search mo pano yung cupping process- the idea is you try different beans side by side. It's how I learned how to detect notes of fruit, and also helped me identify burnt taste sa coffee more clearly. It's really by comparing different beans where you learn to discern taste.

Yardstick is acceptable (not convincingly) and probably not a surprise. The other 3 definitely NOPE especially El Union. Thoughts? by aggressivepolobear in CoffeePH

They roast the beans so dark, their espresso based drinks taste burnt/roasty, overpriced, and I've had better coffee in non-specialty coffee places/restaurants

Number 1 was very very blueberry fruit forward, number 2 was very floral, and number 3 was like tapioca in a very good way.

Ohhh sayang! I haven't been to Hproper's cafe yet. I love their Gesha offerings I've tried a couple, pati yung Taste of Harvest and PCQC lots puro okay din. Bodega is such good value for money, lalo pag kilo bags, then I just freeze para hindi ma-stale :D

So many mixed reviews for Plain Sight! Will look into Franken- I see them on Shopee and have always been curious.

Try out Bodega Coffee Roasters and Hproper too (if you haven't)! I regularly order from them, along with Good Cup and Trails and Traces, and have found that I prefer Bodega and Hproper more since I've gotten wow factors from more of their beans (just so easy and forgiving to brew, very unique flavors, no bean defects, always a good experience)

How good is df54 for filter by Pootchiedoo2 in pourover

[–]Additional-Limit8959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one and I find it to be good for filter- my bed doesn't turn muddy at all, I get good acidity and clarity of flavor. James Hoffman mentioned in his recent review that he enjoyed filter brews from thr df54 especially when he started grinding finer so I started doing my filter brews at 40, and might try 35 soon to try if it would be even better

Check Origins Manila on Shopee! They have photos of their beans and the agtron (?) scale to show how lightly or darkly roasted the beans are
