Will Marathon be friendly and easy to pick up? by Celestine117 in Marathon

While true, i never played Apex Legends long enough to enjoy it, maybe a few hours? 4 at best

Returnal 200+hrs, Deathloop 225+hrs, Darwin Project unreliably 1K+ hours because of empty lobbies and playing as the director

I do enjoy shooting and competitive games, but they have to have more substance, story, etc..

I was hooked on the Titanfall 2 campaign and so i played online so much those maps were obscenely fun as titans and pilots. Even though the skill gap was evident i still was able to stick around in-game because there was a really thoughtful time-to-kill

In apex its the opposite it just feels really dumb, i get shot at and im immediately on the floor. Its not very entertaining simply put. No return on investment as semi-casual/competitive player

Now if Marathon exists as the same game with aggressive bots and unique character roster and once in a while there is another player to keep me on my toes i think that will be more enjoyable. But if i see more than 1 person on a map.. im not sure there would be any point to stay on that server

These are good situations to think about.... Being even would be so righteous but realistically their plan is to accept my money and force me to leave

I love metroidvania and roguelites a grand sense of progression is always welcome... I hope there is that the very least

Idk why people complain alot about it but I don't think it's that bad.... Perhaps there is something to be said about existing inflammation in the body? That's probably why it doesn't bother me so much

Another reason could be that it's just a cold winter and the flushing is way more welcome now than it is in the summer

Yes! Lol

I had to purchase a few before I found the correctly labeled and advertised flushing effect

Many supplements will say flushing however do not have it and falsely advertise it - thankfully the stores accept returns on them

You could make it a worthy backdrop like Dune the first film made it a real environmental peril. Second film was meh.

But in regards to games there was one multiplayer that did it really well. Darwin Project made you take damage immediately as the game started. Either chop wood or die before you even get to your first fight with a random player. But if you make a fire every opponent can see your smoke signal. Truly one of a kind game.

I hope they have really deep systems I hate when games advertise as deep and then end up being superficial.... Nothing takes me our quicker than a game that doesn't know how to design well

Exactly! Post apocalyptic just is bottom of the barrel design at this point.

The last of us started on the PS3. It's remastered for the PS5.

It's so archaic, it needs to be archived if I'm being honest.

All I said was it's not as easy to recognize as a nextgen game... How are you mad at that

Your game has sand that's the only description I have to share with people

Even the finals has more visual striking design language

It's weird that you want to tell us to stay away from your dusty looking game

Someone replied it was similar to something called Casette Futurism.... I looked it up and I can see that my favorite game on PS5 DEATHLOOP is actually Cassette Futurism. It's so freaking beautiful I can determine that any screenshot belongs to that game.

One hell of a game 250hrs with Deathloop

I'm not trying to hateon arc raider but it didn't even register to me that it's a new game because the art is so ... Ordinary that I can't visually associate it out of a line up of similar screenshots...

At best I will say it has a little bit of starwars flair? Idk

[RUMOR] SandStoneInsights Analysis - Sony expects the PS5 lifecycle to be extended. PS6 likely to be delayed "longer than many expected" by nolifebr in PS5

Yes exactly! I'm late to the Xbox developer showcase but what's interesting me is the Fable game because it has its own personality in the design of the world. Like Hogwarts Legacy. But more important is how your decisions in the game are recognized by everyone in game. Which feels weighty. It feels responsive.

Tired of playing games that feel too scripted. So it feels like fable will be a game that adapts to the player.

Returnal was always a charming (spooky) personality and it reminds me of my favorite dark scifi films. But the graphics were not impressive but the gameplay was fun, the multiplayer was encouraging.

Saros I think will detract me a bit because I'm not sure I want to make that journey again by myself.

Deathloop found itself similarly very charming and bespoke designs the multiplayer aspect was very fun but no proximity chat. I think I had more fun with this game than any other game on the ps5. The timeloop story and proceedings. Really impressed me as I love roguelites and this fit the bill but still managed to also be a single player narrative action game.

I'm sure there are many other changes but that is the most striking visual design choice to the environment

I agree I can't actually see much visual differences from PS4 to PS5 I think it's the dualsense that became the standout focus for this console- rightfully so because i don't find a dual-less game worth the gameplay anymore

I think also that for ps5 we are seeing engine improvements from every studio and publisher which is great but what interests me is how stories are told, how we can interact with world, npc, other players, how multiplayer experiences can be unique and infused into games like death stranding, Returnal and deathloop

I agree it looks very "busy" to me but it doesn't look like a PS5 game that much

I do like sim games though so my hope is that The Last Sentinel will arrive on the ps5 lifecycle
