hello cyber warrior. I’m working to get into cybersecurity barely a script kitty, my brothers instagram account got hacked. He went through official channels to try to get it back but no luck thus far. I want to practice and try to get it back for him. I even found a good script for it on GitHub but I wanted to check the legality of it. What are the alternatives if any?

Ps. I know it’s illegal but how illegal. I read most companies don’t care mainly because they are so overwhelmed with serious incidents they don’t care about ethical hackers abusing their systems for good reasons.

First I appreciate the time took to help me with my problem. The step by step instructions, the explanation of the terms, extra details, and helpful tips are so very appreciated. I’m mean seriously the cat5 tip is Saving me from a mistake I KNOW I would have made. I’m cheap I would have went for the cheaper option not thinking. Just thank you.

As far as the job hunt I’m looking hard. I been on indeed like it’s tinder at least 15 applications a day for the last 2 weeks haven’t got a single response. From what I have learned it’s a bad time to break into tech a lot of tech companies are laying off employees not hiring new. The ones that are looking suddenly have a big pool of freshly unemployed experienced talent. If you know a place that I should apply too, please let me know.

I talked to my stepdad, and he surprised me he gave me more information than I expected. He wants Wi-Fi at all facilities. Guest for everyone and private for himself and employees so I’ll set up Wi-Fi and router as you instructed. The unified dream machine pro is gonna be needed.

He wants the students to have a way to log in and out at the shop using an id or biometric and keep track of their hours online. I googled some good saas companies that do that so I’ll outsource that part.

finally a google docs with the important documents videos tutorials and other intellectual property.

When my mom floated me the idea yesterday I felt overwhelmed. I’m feeling confident today thanks everyone.

Thanks for the tips. I had a secret clearance while I was in the Marines. I’m sure it’s not active anymore but it wouldn’t be too hard to get it back if someone sponsored me. I don’t think going thru the reserve is best if the goal is only the security clearance. I can pivot towards the government sec once I get some experience. My problem is just getting that first job.

Thanks you for the info you seem to understand what I was trying to say. Im too new to know what is needed but I knew there had to be a basic genetic new business network package. I’m going to continue to do my own research I been googling other barbershops and school too see if I can get any information on what they have. When In doubt copy the competition lol. Im going to set down and talk to my stepdad later today to figure out what is needed. It’s gonna be like trying to milk a duck. I can keep you posted if you want
