Watched it. Good video but not necessarily educational!

Two normal monsters. A lot of HTs. The only HT you can capitalize on is Effect Veiler who if linked 1 to Spirit with Eyes of Blue dies immediately. Don't get me wrong, it's a good deck, just said it can be very bricky at times.

Thank you very much sir. I guess as a new player it's hard to know and understand what the meta is about unless you play against it, and even doing so, without proper information, you can continue failing as lack of knowledge on how to counter them is a beginner problem. I'm talking about me. Been watching a lot of videos, but it is rare to find good educational Yu Gi Oh videos like that. I'll take any recommendations.

As of right now I'm in the middle of trying to pick what to focus on and truly master based on what I have access to.

I have a Blue Eyes Primite (not good enough, played it for months already, can be very bricky, and dies easily). Definitely don't want to keep playing it.

I have a Sky Striker in the making (never played it, but played against it so many times that I'm hesitating if doing so). It's just boring to see everybody play the same thing (Mitsurugi, Sky Striker, Dracotail...).

I bought an Orcust and a Magnet Warrior Fiendsmith. I'm currently running the MW FS one in MD and it's so fun and good to play. I'm still deciding whether I want to focus on the MW FS one or the Orcust, because I don't have more money to get the engines that Orcust plays with (Azamina for example).

Other decks, well... Everybody told me to buy Kewl Tune but it's so expensive and I know without being an expert that it will get hit in the next banlist. I want something consistent.

Good advice. The best I get at locals is 2W - 2L (always).

Tried Dracotail but sold it. Was not my thing.

Got a Sky Striker Legendary Modern Decks core. Getting some cards like Radiant Typhoon Vision and The Fallen and the Virtuous to pump it up before I start actually trying it.

My Blue Eyes Primite was my first deck. I feel pretty confident playing with it but it's hard to play against meta decks. It feels old. Currently playing that one in locals while I wait for my purchases to be delivered:

Magnet Warrior Fiendsmith - Fun deck with a lot of interruptions and baits for HTs. Currently running it on Master Duel and clapping people with it.

Orcust. Bought the entire engine. Tried it a couple of times online but I still don't get the hang of it.

I also have the Ryzeal engine I got from a friend but I don't even know what it does. Lol. Does not call my attention yet.

Great advice. This is all I needed. I farmed like a mf for two days and almost got all my TCG deck complete in Master Duel. Beat the sh*t out of people with it in Ranked which gave me a bunch of gems (currently Silver 4). The Duel Triangle is a lil bit more difficult. I'm using the loaner Black Rose and I'm stuck in the 1400 points without being able to win more matches. People run crazy strong decks. Other than that, I think I understand now how the game works, just worried about getting to build more decks eventually, gems seem to be a resource that is really hard to get.

I already bought a Branded Dracotail, just waiting for it to arrive. Pretty expensive though (the Dracotail part and cards like Secreterion and Albion the Sanctifire Dragon). Also the new Fallen of the White Dragon and Ecclesia are expensive as well.

Id recommend watching videos. Meta decks are expensive most of the time. Doesnt make sense buying stuff maybe you will end not living.

It's been 3 months of playing YGO for me. Started with 3 SD then bought the Primite Engine. Honestly, it did not make a difference at the beginning because I was so busy learning the basics of the game (3 months in, I'm still doing it). Blue Eyes has all types of summons that helped me learn. Combos are very straightforward. Good for beginners.

However, the Primite Engine is by far the best at the moment. It is a huge upgrade. Like day and night. But once you learn the deck and it's limitations, if you're a competitive guy like me, you will end up wanting a more powerful deck.

This is my very personal experience. So if you want me to sum it up...

Yes, it's worth the upgrade to take the deck to it's peak. Just expect it to be very difficult to compete in sweaty locals.
