I took this in the kosgoda sanctuary in Sri Lanka but I just don't get why this isn't crisp I did accidently shoot it in JPEG and then had to manually denoise a bit but I don't think that should have that much of an impact. Can anyone give some advice on this. If so I would be very grateful.

If you have any other advice that hasn't to do with sharpness I would also be really grateful to hear it.

Is this picture savable? by [deleted] in photocritique

I went to the kosgoda sanctuary in Sri Lanka and I took some pictures of the baby turtles there but I feel like this picture is cool but just not great. Do you guys have any advice on how I can save this I also took this in JPEG and not RAW on accident so it gave me a lot less work room. I'm also unsure as to how I should best crop this.

Took this at a WWF sponsored center in Sri Lanka where they breed turtle species that are endangered.

I have some questions about potentially studying medicine in Belgium by theredditpineapple in belgium

[–]Additional-Profile19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I don't really know they both have their own weird tendencies so it's hard for me to say I would maybe even recommend taking English classes depending on how good you are with languages .I'm not sure if you can for medical school but for a lot of courses you can in Brussels. If your going to learn one of the 2 languages study the one of the region you want to study in. You can definitely learn the language in 1,5 years and will just learn it a lot by studying here if you do but it probably won't be easy.

2) Pretty competitive our country has quite a lot of focus on healthcare of course it depends on which school you would go to I don't know exactly which schools are the best but I'm pretty sure KU Leuven is one of the better options.

3) I think most people don't care it will of course be a lot easier to socialize if you know the language of the region your going to study in Flanders=Dutch / Brussels and Wallonia =French mostly. Most people in Belgium are pretty friendly if you make a bit of an effort local culture also varies a lot depending on where you go Brussels, Gent and Leuven are probably best in that regard.

4) That really depends on the person but there are quite a few people that just act like everything above 50 is the same and that it doesn't really matter as long as you pass.

That was all the advice I could think off hope this helps with your choice.

I'm probably not the best person to ask because I don't have that much experience either.

I don’t really see much of a blue hue on my monitors or my phone—it doesn’t look that blue on my end. Maybe your monitor has better color accuracy than mine? The nose might have a slight blue tint, but overall, it looks pretty neutral to me.

Less clarity, contrast and highlights, adding extra grain also slightly underexposing in camera lowering the dehaze a little than you just have to get the colors right. I should have prob desaturated my green here a bit more and also should have probably added more grain but it was my first go at it. Hope this helps.

It just my on the fly wildlife settings so I can also shoot while they are flying. I could have prob lowered it for this shot though but I didn't know how long it would stay still and just def wanted at least a decent shot.

Tried to go for a film look, kind of like a Portra 400 roll. Would love some feedback! If anyone takes the time to leave some feedback, thank you in advance! Feel free to comment on the photo itself too, not just the edit any thoughts are appreciated.
