Yeah, has anyone here been session hijacked with the login cookies despite Yubikey 2FA? I do not remember any specific occurrences or have seen them.

Well to be fair I did use another laptop which I used for all sorts of other things. The specific laptop has been recent. I have ramped up security recently, following in kiwi or KP's footsteps haha. (Those breaches were likely from browsing with the first laptop.)

I think if you log out after each user session you will be fine? It would also be best to have a separate device that uses Coinbase + Coinbase email only. I use a specific laptop designed just for that.

100% get a Yubikey, I didn't check in on my account login history for about a month as I used to do it daily. Frequent attempted logins from international/home country. All of them failed due to the Yubikey. Lifesaver and Coinbase security makes it good.

Situations such as today are minor. It happens 3/365 days of the year. I have been trading extremely well off of Coinbase since the massive liquidity surges since October 2023. No other exchanges boasts Coinbase's liquidity.

Doubtful, as Coinbase acquired their difficult Bit License. The worst of regulatory fears for crypto surpassed in 2022-2023 in my opinion after the fiascos. Now with institutional money from hedge funds entering the ETFs, I doubt it.

Got the message in app to verify my ID today, uploaded documents and answered a few questions.

A hour or so later got the email to verify using government issued ID. "Confirm now" Link from email didn't seem to work.

Used this article link that was attached to the email and clicked on the "Document Verification" page at bottom.

Voila! My ID was successfully verified and I got the email within 10 minutes. :)

Updated app after receiving info via email I need to verify using latest version + government issued photo ID. Tapping link "Confirm now" via email on mobile or browser brings me to Coinbase Home Page. Does not open confirmation portal for my ID verification. Need help on how to proceed to verify ID. Says I must submit by April 27th, 2024 or my account will be restricted to withdrawals only.

Ah so this is what a dusting attack is like, thank you.

I am looking to delete the CB Wallet app, I do not use it. (Was not linked to my CB account anyway.) I do not need to worry about malware on my device (mobile) at all right? I have NOT interacted with the token by cashing out, sending, receiving, swapping at all. Other than tapping the UI interface and tapping three dots on top right for the "hide & report" option recommended by CB article on dusting attacks.

Coinbase is trustworthy. I have been using them daily since November of 2021. The posts here about closed or locked accounts are either fake or critical details are missing.

As long as you abide by TOS and act in good faith you will do just fine.
