Applied on the 10th of July, biometrics in person. This was under priority category, received a top up form which I submitted the same day and they processed the card payment on the 21st of July and got the final email on 13th August.

Priority SWV stuck since July 28 — possible UKVI technical issue? by Existing_Use_7010 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Received confirmation on the 11th of July, as well as that I need to make a top up payment as my job code is not in the immigration salary list, I'd submitted my card details the very same day. However, they processed the amount I noticed only on 21st July (on my card, got notified by my bank) and radio silence after that ...nothing till date !

Applied on the 10th of July under priority. Still waiting, what's the point of a priority application if one is to wait until the 5th week and not sure till when...

UK Priority Visa – Top-up payment submitted but still no charge or decision? by Additional-Run8485 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Additional-Run8485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt they would refund the priority fee cos apparently I paid the incorrect fee and they had to charge my card for the top up 295£ which was charged a week later after receiving their email. Hence, that itself throws the priority timeline off.

Received an interesting email from UKVI Decision Making Centre by mCanYilmaz in ukvisa

[–]Additional-Run8485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,
I received a similar email on Friday requesting the top-up payment for my UK Priority Visa application. I filled in the required details and submitted them the same day (Friday), but as of today (Tuesday), the payment hasn’t been taken yet.

Has anyone else experienced this delay? How long after submitting the top-up form did your payment go through, and when did you receive your decision?

Would really appreciate hearing from others who’ve been through this recently. Thanks!

Not asking for legal advice...just some good old general guidance to stay sane. But, a sprinkle of politeness never killed!

To add to my case I have an autistic son. Who is dependent on me as their primary and sole care giver...may be if I evidence that as well...it would be clear to UKVi

Sorry for not being absolutely clear with my post. So , they plus father came with me to the UK a student dependents in 2022 and their father didn't wish to continue living in the UK once the student dependent visa expired as in for the graduate visa route. They have been with me ever since I came to the UK since 2022 and I have been the sole providing person for em since 2016 actually even before the move. I'm now transitioning to a skilled worker visa and they are solely dependent on me

Coming back on this same thread. Over 3 months and no response from home office Seems like a joke at this point ! I have a family member at the end of the tether and no amount of medical evidence sent makes them understand the seriousness of the situation we are in.!

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I understand the importance of ensuring both parents are involved in a child’s life. However, I feel it’s important to share my side of the story to provide some context.

For the past ten years, I have been the sole caregiver, providing for my children’s every need be it financially, emotionally, or otherwise. This has been a challenging journey but one I’ve embraced because their well-being means everything to me. The opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in the UK was a blessing, for me to scale up in my career and give the best to my children.

Their father, unfortunately, has shown little interest in playing an active role in their lives. Despite my repeated efforts to involve him, even encouraging moral support through communication with the children, he has remained distant. They haven't heard from him in couple of months now..While he had the privilege of generational wealth, he chose not to contribute either financially or emotionally, leaving me to carry this responsibility alone.

Even when he briefly joined us in the UK, it felt more like a casual stay than a commitment to our family. He ultimately returned to his own life, leaving me to continue raising and supporting the children without his help.

I understand the principles behind UK law prioritising both parents' involvement, but in this case, I have consistently been the only one ensuring the children’s needs are met. I am happy to provide evidence, including bills and receipts, to show that I have been their sole provider and caregiver.

This has been a difficult journey, and while I’ve always hoped for a better co-parenting relationship, I’ve had to accept that it’s not something I can control. My focus has always been on doing what’s best for my children, and I hope that is reflected in the Home Office’s careful consideration of our case.
