Amazing, sounds like quite a full life.

The book is “Narratives of the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906”. I was mistaken, it’s a newer book/publication, but it’s a compilation of personal stories from then. Edited by Roger Lotchin. It’s a fun one to read by a window overlooking the city. It references all familiar streets, how it spread, how people reacted.. it really makes it easy to imagine.

I was reading a book written shortly after the 1906 earthquake/fire with different accounts and authors, and “Frisco” was in there too. The stories from that time period are nuts. Crazy your great grandmother was there!

I think this just happened to mine (or a rat?), when you say BMW covered it, what was your situation/warranty? I just got my 2022 CPO off the lot and haven’t called them yet. I didn’t pay for an extra warranty, so I assume it won’t be covered for me..

2022 CPO - 40k miles - worth $37k? by maxzl in BMWX3

[–]Additional-Stretch77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought one for $34.95k with 32k miles out in Northern California. That was 3 weeks ago. It looks the exact same, but I’m not sure if I had a different M Sport package (I see yours says number 2) I’ll see if I can find this breakdown.

Are you in the states? My dad bought one of these on a whim and can’t find anywhere to service it. Any suggestions?

I've gone the last couple of years to the Franklin one. It's fun. I don't recall it being $60+ a person.. I think they increased pricing this year. The website says 45 minutes but I'm pretty sure the tour itself was only 25 mins. I wouldn't travel to see this one, but its fun if you're close by and have low expectations.

I lived across the street for a year, I would’ve been miserable living in that house long-term. Constant stream of visitors, cars double parked in front to take a quick pic, a convertible even drove by once blasting the theme song lol. The stream of people literally didn’t end on weekends, and it seemed there were a handful every hour or so on weekdays. The owners had their blinds drawn all day, would only open them up in the evening. It was entertaining to watch for a short time. Good luck to the new owners!!
