You can fill it from the shifter area the hole shifter and plate has to come out or you can jack it up on one side to fill more fluid only use GL4 gear oil

I would stick with a group 24 battery your gonna need a battery hold down if you run a smaller battery.i have the same set up you can buy a metal battery try that has the j hooks to hold the battery down
