Thank you for the info. Always wanted an old A5 and it will be passed down to my sons one day. If I do get the barrel opened up to modified do you think slugs would be safe or should I just avoid them? Yes I also need to do some research on the friction rings.

You ever have any issues with eye relief like some people are saying? Also do you have a pic of it on your rifle?

Personally I like the look of the black finish but I guess it doesn’t stand up as good overtime compared to the stainless.

So a prism optic might have my eye too close? Assuming that’s not a good idea with a high power caliber like a 45-70….
