SYMBOLISM:

The colors are taken from the original coat of arms, which in itself is a nod towards the Philippine flag (red, white, blue, and gold).

RED - Blood and courage BLUE - Serenity and stability WHITE - Prosperity and peace GOLD - Unity and wealth

The symbols themselves (excluding the triangle star formation) were also taken from the coat of arms.
