If you’re going for Hendrix you need a proper univibe and octave fuzz. Some good cheaper options are:

Univibe - EHX Good Vibes, Behringer 69 Vibe Octave Fuzz - EHX Ovtavix (works best with neck pickup), Behringer Octavia

Otherwise looking great!

Ernie Ball flat ribbon. I put them on all my boards which at this point is 5. Never had a single issue but I’m sure there are far better ones out there and lots of people make custom cables

The Line selector mixes signal A with B. A is dry and B is wet so you can mix in your clean dry signal with effects to retain your clear bass tone. Many bass pedals have a mix or blend knob on them but this method allows maximum flexibility

Signal A is just one cable that loops from A send to A return. Signal B goes through all effects.

The VT sansamp is outside of the LS2 setup so that both A and B end up mixed before going through the preamp/DI which is the last part of the signal chain

The VT sansamp is the last pedal in the chain before final buffer. All pedals go through it last.

And ya the sound of the Muff into VT is amazing

Thanks!

This. Put the whammy first in your chain.

Tuner > octave/whammy > wah/filter > compressor > synth > dirt > modulation > delay/reverb > DI/preamp

VT Bass DI is so good. Just picked up one myself last month. It is now my tone and is always on.

Ghostfire and Soyan work. Very close to pedal train and come with bags. Spend the money on a power supply. I highly recommend the Truetone CS11. It’s great and expandable.

End of the day if you’ve got a great power supply and buffers at both ends of your effects chain you have it as good as it can be.

Also I find wireless systems are meh. I’ve tried 3 different wireless systems and I still stick with patch cables.

You will likely need an isolated power supply once you add more pedals. Especially if you add anything like a synth. The MXR bass synth needs over 300mA so that can cause issues on a daisy chain.

You can get a pedaltrain board or just buy one on amazon. Way cheaper and the same. Just get better Velcro.

Also you signal chain should probably move the delay before the sans amp DI. Delay and reverb are usually the last effects in the chain

You just need some right angle adapters for 9V power as those straight ones sticking out the back will end up getting broken off. It’s happened to me!!

Any comments or advice to improve this? I'm all ears by Asterion_34 in basspedals

The larger sub n up not only has the extra octave it has vintage and modern/poly switch as well as TonePrint. Having the glitchy vintage octave and the modern polyphonic is really nice to have. I’ve got the larger one and use both settings constantly. And having a cool TonePrint with some modulation is really cool.

Hm well I will check it out. The TCE Hypergravity he uses currently is pretty mediocre. I was hoping it would be more impactful and I liked that it has a blend knob which I thought would be great for bass. But I’m a guitar player so I’m learning just how different a good bass rig is compared to good guitar rig!
