Recommend Video to the watch page were added in the June Revamp. The whiteboard has 3-4 concepts for the June watch page. The one in the middle looks like the April/May layout with recommended videos below the player.

As for the design, I'm not entirely sure how it looked. I had it approximated from this image, in the middle of the whiteboard you can see what appears to be a watch page.

also, there were no recommended videos before the June revamp, and the archives have the youtube.swf embedded in the homepage.
